When it comes to making crazy scenarios, I seem to have a knack. This dual/split game scenario will provide a double challenge for you and your opponent. Bring two heroes and see if you can take down your opponent's villainous plots! Careful, your heroes will be outnumbered! Come on in and see what I'm talking about!

In this scenario you will build two teams at the same point level. I’m going to use a 200 point example for ease of explanation.
HERO TEAM: Your hero team can only be two figures and must be two figures (no duos). Feel free to put some real powerhouses in there for higher point games, you’ll need them.
VILLAIN TEAM: No figure limitation, only points.
In this game you will play your hero team against your opponent’s villain team on half of a map, while your opponent does the same. SET UP: On a standard map, figure out the halfway line and mark it with tokens (if you feel so inclined). This is an unbreakable wall, no one may pass through it with any power or for any reason. Treat it the same as you would the other edges of any map. The first row of squares on either side of the line is the starting zone for villain teams. Starting zones for the heroes is the first row of the map on their side.
TURNS: Each player takes turns as they would a normal game. First they move their heroes against opposing villains, then they move their villains against opposing heroes.
WINNING: You only need to do one of two things to win. You either knock out your opponent’s heroes or villains. First person to accomplish one of those feats, wins the game. All other rules are the same as with any HeroClix match.
In the photo above I show you the heroes in much closer so you can get a feel for what the setup is like. The toughest thing to keep track of will likely be the center line. This also provides great simulation for actual hero situations. Heroes have limits (hence the 2 figure limitation) but villains don’t play by the same rules, do they? Give this a try and see who comes out on top in your group. Will it be heroes or villains?

I think this scenario needs a lot of clarification. I had to read it 3 times to figure out what was so different about it. It looks like having 2 games on one map is the design, but is not explicitly said. Why not just use different maps (like hellicarrier)? You should use terms like Hero team A, Villain Team B to keep your scenario concise. As it stands, it is very non-sensical.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that.

I wouldn't say it's an Epic fail. Your points are valid but this scenario being an epic fail doesn't fit the bill.
Leave the epic fails to when you drop hot coffee on your lap or something is actually awful.
I think the article had some good points overall and looks like it may be fun to play at our venue. We like variations in our gameplay!

Couldn't disagree more. This sounds neat, and I think i will steal it for a tournament. I like it alot.
I would suggest a physical barrier down the middle, like a piece of yarn. keep things easy to distinguish.
Epic fail my donkey; I believe I'll be using this format in my weekly tournaments. I'm always looking for new scenarios to run for Heroclix, and I hope you will contine with this series. Thanks for posting.
What's really interesting is setting up the board so that it's a smaller space.
I ran Gangbuster, Parasite, and Superboy in a sealed versus two 150 point Supermen. Why did I win? Because the stipulation was that it had to be played on a Batman Alpha map! It was loads of fun, and was nice to see Gangbuster KO Superman twice!
The smaller map really plays a big role in making the action more up front. The strategy is more about harmony between alpha strike and good defense.

Kinda agree with this guy.
The scenario as it stands has potential but the increase in point costs and the general amount of heroes to villain ratio leaves them handicapped pretty good.
What would make it better ?
Player is EITHER the Heroes or Villains. The Villain team can go between the barrier/sides but must keep at least 1 character on each side.

I also love using the Alpha maps (or Time Zones) to help games be more action-full.
I'm not sure what would lead to more, but I do hope we get more 10x10sq maps someday...
