If you mean why Support then: Support has rarely been a power that is greatly utilized for several reasons. Overall though it boils down to the ability to get back to a Healer and have them still be alive. Darkseid does it decently, the old Black Adam Yo-Yo teams and LAMP teams did it well. I guess I just feel that Galactus is very well poised to be able to do that well. He breaks away automatically but also has such a high movement he should be able to get back. Also, because of the multi-attack he can quite possibly do some damage, THEN retreat.

If you mean why Nurses? Laziness. Night Nurse, Elixir, The Atom etc... are all better choices probably. They actually only have a 7 attack.

I admit that Galactus vs Ziran would not be so easily decided.

Assuming that your venue playes with the Wizkids suggested format using Modern Age and no special house rules; I'd say that the winner at each venue will more often than not be the player that plays one of those three figures.

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be, but who knows. Mine is going to be Modern. I figure the whole point of these events is for new people, so new people would mostly have Modern Age figures.

Thanks for clarifying. I was under the impression I missed some kind of combo. I can honestly dismiss any account of Galactus with 5x Nurses showing up month 5. That's not even in the realm of possibility for me given her opening AV.

Or my secret plan was to use Seth Voelker as my Herald! Mwahahaha. Keep in mind though that's 5x Nurses AND Night Nurse and you actually have the actions to use all of them in a turn, and Multi-Attack with Galactus. So the odds are fairly good of Galactus healing some before they can reach him...maybe...ok I'm not really defending the Nurse's over say Atom or Elixir and Night Nurse or like Dr. Mid-Nite V in Golden.

If my venue lets us use golden age figures, would this work?

Run Deadman (JL), use lots of TK and perplex so he can posses Galactus, then proceed to wipe out the rest of their team that turn. You would then win, I think. I know it would be difficult to pull off, but does it follow the rules?

Yes? I think... I thought I remembered the rules on this changing but according to the Players Guide it looks like this would work.

That being said, practically speaking, I don't think this would work.
