Since you keep editing the description... what does the 'extra participation prizes' entail? Anything over and above the Texaria LE you get for going to any other stores not charging $10 over retail to play (or any who aren't even charging)?
I'd been saying that since Month 1. LOL. Had all of the events been sealed, you would have sold a *bunch* of product over these 8 months.
You still have to have enough participation points from the previous events in order to play, correct? Or is this just being open to everyone to play regardless if they participated in the previous events? Because it is a bit unfair to those who put the time and effort to show up for the previous 7 months events in order to qualify only to have it open to everyone at the last minute regardless of qualifying points.
*** Also, you need to specify the point total for the event. Figures like the Common Superman will dominate a Marvel themed event now. ***
Players do still need to have enough participation points from previous events in order to play. The list of fully qualifying players will be made available. There will also be a wildcard slot available to prevent a possible "bye" at the tournament. More details will be posted on both of these tomorrow.

Just so that you are aware, the Comprehensive Tournament Guidelines do state that any event changes should be posted 1 week in advance, yes? This event is this Thursday, and it's Sunday today...
Our TO posted the previous update information from a misunderstanding of the changes being made to the event. Edits will be made to the original post in the thread to reflect this, as well the event update post from earlier today.
This week's Infinity Gauntlet Month 8 event will be a 300pt. 2-Pack sealed tournament, consisting of the usual three rounds. Price to enter will not exceed the cost of the two packs being opened per player.
Legal sets are Chaos War, Incredible Hulk, and Captain America. Packs will be opened at 6:00pm sharp, with play beginning at 6:30. As mentioned previously, a list of players fully qualified to participate (points-wise) will be posted tomorrow during business hours. There will still be a wildcard spot available for certain qualifying players.
If you don't see your name where it should be, please read all the way through these posts.
This first list contains all players with corresponding Heroclix.com Event usernames. These participants need only show up at Comics and More, King of Prussia on Thursday, August 2nd by 6:00PM.

This second list is the remaining roster of players who have participated in at least one Infinity Gauntlet event at Comics and More, King of Prussia. All of these players are eligible for our wild card lottery. Simply contact our store by phone (610.337.1555), email ([email protected]), or in this thread to confirm your availability.
All players who contact us by midnight on Tuesday will be entered in a random drawing for this wildcard. The drawing will take place at the beginning of business on Wednesday, with the results being posted in this thread.
On Thursday night, in the event of a "bye", the wildcard will be permitted to participate in the sealed event. Even if there is no "bye," they will receive all the benefits of participation, including a Terraxia LE figure, a 10% discount on HeroClix-related merchandise, and a ClixCare Package.
Please also note that due to the nature of the HeroClix.com Event Reporter, it is difficult to match some names with their usernames. Please contact us if one of the names listed here should be on the previous "fully qualified" list. This can be done as late as 6:00pm on Thursday, but we ask that you inform us sooner than later.

I'm moving to KoP in 2 months and looking for a place to play. I use to play in Philly since they had many casual games. Does this location only do events, or does it do casual games? (I don't mind buying boosters to play)

Hi! We do both casual-style tournaments and full-fledged organized play events like the Infinity Gauntlet and upcoming No Man's Land. In any given month we'll typically host one or two sealed events, one major event (as released by WizKids), and a couple nights where we try to do something unusual such as our upcoming "Gamma Bomb Hot Potato."

Your choice of Galactus as an avatar is phenomenally appropriate after this week. Congratulations, CD! Enjoy your love-spurned Titan. We should set up a casual revenge day: your new Thanos with his full amalgamated point value versus the other five players from the Month 8 event. After defending your new title, you will of course retain full gloating privileges.
I see no reason a store should have a problem with me doubling down and buying two boosters I wouldn't have otherwise.
It's a policy that directly benefits those with deep pockets, rather than keeping all players on the same footing by keeping the original pulls. Seems unfair for a final event- especially since it wasn't announced beforehand anywhere and other players couldn't prepare by having extra loot ready for new boosters.
Had 'mulligan boosters' been part of the event description, I don't see a problem. It's actually a good idea to move product. It's just announcing it when the event starts really shuts out the players with limited funds available the day of and unfairly rewards those with more disposable income.
