Forgive me for my ignorance, but why is this worth getting excited about?
Look, I get the nostalgia factor. I did watch DBZ and Batman Beyond on Toonami when I was growing up. But what does it coming back get us? Besides unliscensed Mega Man saying "Your anime reruns will be back after these messages".

Hope it's Toonami "actual" and not just a block with frigging King of The Hill & Assy Mcgee reruns
We better get some serious old school stuff
Transformers
Gundam
Robotech
Outlaw Star
Tenchi
Sailor Moon
Dragon Ball Z "ACTUAL" (KAI SUCKS)
VOLTRON
Thunder Cats
Isn't that a Saturday? Is it just basically them taking the anime they run on Saturday and adding Toonami bumps instead of Adult Swim bumps?
Toonami did run on Saturday but it aired from 7 pm till 11pm and then the Adult Swim block would take over airing more Anime goodness from 12am to 6am.
HECK there was a time when Toonami ran six days a week from 4pm to 7pm Mon-Sat but Saturday was the repeat airing of the Monday's block.
Umm, Transformers G1 and Batman Beyond are currently being aired on The Hub, so I don't think whoever owns that station will be willing to cough up the airing rights . . .
Chick? Chick posing as a dude? Extraterrestrial? You decide!

The Hub is owned by Hasbro, so they could probably negotiate exclusive ownership of Transformers. However, there's probably money to be made in syndication.
Batman Beyond, like all DC properties, is owned by Warner Bros., who I think have had a deal going with Cartoon Network and other members of the Turner Media Group for years, so that could definitely be shown on CN.

Then Adult Swim took over for it, and now they are just getting Toonami back to replace the Adult Swim bumps. Basically they are hoping the people that remember Toonami will come back for it all, granted I checked a few weekends ago and nothing really got my jollies up. It's all stuff that was still there years ago or stuff that doesn't seem to have anything interesting at all. Stuff we've already seen or stuff that doesn't make sense to be an anime.
I am a heroclix machine if you play me once you will die, your face will melt off and your children will weep over your totaled body.
