The Utility belt is the original ultimate fanny pack.
Here's more on what I was thinking/hoping for game mechanics:
Each pouch sculpt looks the same, and is big enough to conceal three cards each. Each pouch you win Comes with three Bat-Object cards & pogs.
When you attach the pouches during your build, you can put any two Bat objects', and any one standard light objects', or light special objects' cards in each pouch you attach.
Once during your turn, give the character equipped with Utility Belt a double action to take three object cards from a single pouch, place one object into play being held by that character and remove the other two from the game.
I'm thinking the LEs each month will be various heads of Batvillian gangs from the No-Man's Land arc. I'm really hoping that the final prize will be the rooftop of GCPD with a Batsignal on it. (thinking along the lines of the Monument to death)
It would be super awesome if they did that and it could be played on any map replacing the rooftop of a building on that map.
I know there's already a Batsignal Sculpt, but it's just decoration. It doesn't do anything special.
Sonar (for a simular ability like the GF batman)
Batarang (increase range and adds range combat expert)
Smoke pellets (for smoke and to be able to use on an enemy to incapacitate them)
Kryptonite Ring (close combat expert, steal energy, or exploit weakness)
Grappling Hook (free movement with leap/climb ability)
Bat spray/bomb (quake ability similar to Crystal's tornado ability)
Ok so I know its more than 5 but I figure these would be cool
poison with 1 unavoidable DM: acid pellet. smoke cloud but 6 squares instead of 4: smoke pellet. incapacitate where you can't be giving any move action or power action that grant a move action: ice pellet. incapacitate that places two action tokens on a figure instead of one: flash bang pellet. INCWO headset in the cap: which grants a +1 to all combat values. INCWBC in contact with the batcave: which grants a +2 to all combat values. OMAC satellite: which grants a +3 to all combat values.
This is along the lines of what i desire the utility belt resource dial to be.
I know the utility belt isnt up to par in power to the IG, but whatever its the friggin utility belt from the mother lovin Batman.
I think it should have the tazer-batarangs, so it would be similar to Black Bolts special pulsewave power without the need of a double power action but maybe deaing 2 or 3 unavloidable damage to everyone within half his range.
Frag greneades that explode rubber pellets, so something alogn the lines of dealing 3 damage and placing 2 tokens or a second token if the character hit already has one token.
And sonar-vision , esentially granting the user a LOF that is never blocked.
and finally powered guantlets/kryptonite gloves, grants him flurry when he deals damage, the damage is penetrating.
I can see the utility belt being scarier than the Gauntlet, and cheaper. Depending on timeline and writer they decide to go with, that belt has carried everything from kryptonite of just about every color to a green lantern ring. Some disturbing possibilities for a mundane belt.
