So I was reading the dial list for the upcoming Dark Knight Rises set that Steelmage2000 put up and something struck my eyes. Catwoman has a crazy cool burglar power. It reads:
Cat Burglar: Catwoman can use Flurry. Give Catwoman a free action when she is adjacent to a heavy or light object and exchange that object for any other object on the map or held by another character; after doing so, roll a d6; on a result of 1-3, remove the exchanged object from the game.
So, can you use her to steal the Infinity Guantlet (or the upcoming utility belt) from somebody? The power says that you can replace the standard heavy or light object with ANY object on the map. The way I have always seen the IG being used, it is on the map, so technically Catwoman could just switch it for a light object and destroy the Guantlet. Is at how anybody else sees this power?
No. The Infinity Gauntlet and likely Utility Belt arn't objects.
They're Resource Dials. Also, special objects that say you place them on someone's character card are not considered held for the purposes of taking or destroying them.

This should, however, let you relocate and possibly remove the Gamma Bomb, Scorpio Key and Crimson Gem.
In regards to Scorpio Key and the Gem- assuming they haven't been 'picked up' yet, right? Once someone has rolled the required 5-6, you can't use catwoman's power to swipe one of those objects from them because they aren't being 'held'. Would that be correct?

Right, didn't include those important details: when they're on the map waiting to be picked up they are both indestructible and immobile, so normally you can't do anything to relocate or remove them: this should be another in the few ways that could be managed.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
The exchanged object that can be removed from the game appears to be the heavy or light object that Catwoman starts off adjacent to, so besides putting Catwoman at ground zero for the Gamma Bomb, or getting easier access to the Crimson Gem what does this accomplish?

That's the ambiguous part. Technically, both objects are exchanged, both the light/heavy standard and the hypothetical Gamma Bomb. For two reasons, I'm inclined to think that the object Catwoman began next to would be the one that might disappear for two reasons: one (and this is purely thematic), because if Catwoman is "stealing" an object from an opponent (as a Cat Burglar), then it makes sense that the opponent would be the one that hypothetically ends up short an object. The power is intended, it seems to me, to try to take heavy standards from Super Strength guys or beneficial items like the Lanterns and either exchange them for lights or disappear them altogether. Second, the "exchange that object" line references the first object, which is a light/heavy standard only (cannot be an opponent's Gamma Bomb) and is more likely to be the "exchanged object removed from the game" referenced later.
Seems to me you could still use Catwoman to somewhat hinder an opponent's bomb placement. Assuming they put it 8 away from the back of your opening zone, mid-map so there's nowhere to hide, you can put your figs all on one side of your start zone, put Catwoman and one of your own objects on the other side buried in a corner, then trigger the power on your first turn to swap the sacrificial object for the Gamma Bomb, so that it's all the way away from your force, then bounce Catwoman away/back to the team with her Leap/Climb.
I don't think there's any way to disappear the Gamma Bomb, but we're gonna need some orange on this.

I see the "exchanged" obect as the object that was not adjacent to Catwoman when the SP was used. If the intent was for the adjacent object to be removed, I believe it would have read...

So which sounds more like the actions of a thief?
Really?? Talking about clouded judgement, that is weak sauce in terms of argument. The power allows her to bring something that she values to her side of the board, the 1-3 is the penalty that she may face when that object becomes lost. Generally speaking 1-3 is the penalty roll where 4-6 is the success roll.
Yeah she inadvertently scores a bonus with the Gamma Bomb (unless they PG it so that "exchange" is synomonous with place). But more often than not (Gem, Mjolnir, etc.) the loss of the object will not be the intended effect of the user.
1) place 2 standard objects next to opponents starting space,
2) place red or gold kryptonite near catwoman
3) swap the kryptonite for item right outside opponents starting space
4) listen to opponent go "ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I read it that the object that is removed is the one she swapped to be next to her, but there is ambiguity there so we'll have to see. Even if it's to be the one she sends away, it would allow you to relocate objects your opponent placed. The power does not say place or move, so unless there's a clarification or errata she can use this on immobile objects.

That's nothing. Since she can do it with objects held by a character you can make them HOLD the Gold Kryptonite and take the object they were carrying and then destroy them while they are defenseless.
Yep, the Gold Kryptonite is the first thing I thought of when I saw her.
(And since I posted the same trick in the Units section 8 minutes before DaddyDoom did here, I'm totally taking credit for it! )
She steals somene's object, puts the Gold K in their hands, then watches her team destroy the opposing character. That's scary good.
