Thank you for reminding me why I picked up both sets of this when they first came out Feral2k. I still have both of mine and love them. Have not used them in any games because have been told in other matches that special objects were not allowed. But if these can still be used...I see a sudden apparence of the said items listed here
I have an unopened Indoor kit for trade. Soda Machine, Desk, Bookshelf, Computer, double sided 24x24 map (Factory and Mansion), and the super-awesome Scenario Cards!
I got the Indoor and Outdoor Kits at a Gamestop a few years back for 99 cents each. I think that dumpster has seen more action than anything else in my collection.
And these objects can still be used in modern games?
yes they can still be used in modern. However, the way we play at my venue is that they are simply standard heavy or lights and in golden age games they have their special effects. I still use them in all games simply because I like them a heck of a lot more than little cardboard discs.
The dumpster and a leap/climb super strengther were the shizle back in the day. I just remember one specific match with Mr. Fixit where he took the dumpster around dumping trash on everyone.
i got both back in the day too and still use these items in all games i play. i usually play casual at home and split the items (2 light/ 2 heavy each) with my opponent.
4 items (with effects) and 2 maps was a great deal back in the day. i wish they made more retail accessory packs like this that just had objects, maps and terrain tokens, especially if they were themed and released once a year.
they'd sell.
If I could make only one 'clix: the Melter (Marvel) or Negative Man (DC)
I guess I never actually realized these things had special rules for them, haha. I bought the Outdoor kit at Barnes & Noble when it first came out and just hastily ripped the package open for the map and the objects.
Now I wish I could find the dumpster. I still have the other three but I think that one's gone missing, and I never realized what it was capable of!
Could we maybe please get a Negative Man figure, if it isn't too much trouble?
Been trying to find these for a good price forever...
I brought the pair (indoor and outdoor sets) still sealed to a local game store flea market *3* times before they finally moved. And even then I had to drop the price, from the (IMO bargain basement) asking price of $10 for the pair to $8. I think I may have paid more than that when I bought them on clearance.
A few online sellers way back when dumped a large number of these cheap, along with other Infinity Challenge/Hypertime era items, like the Premier Edition Hypertime Starter (notable only for one of its exclusive maps, which is rather fun to play on). I bought several, dumped most of them over time. Most modern players are completely unaware of their existence - and many of those who know don't care. Old school players already have them. Net result is there just isn't much of a market for them, IMO those who do offer them for sale (at inflated prices) aren't selling uber-rare items, they're just the only people bothering to try.
