Nightcrawler question
Is it possible for Nightcrawler to move terrain, mainly move barrier pieces?

TELEPORTATION EVACUATION: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth and the Carry Ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.

And if he is attacking, that doesn't mean anything.

@OP - Yes, Nightcrawler could attack an object or Barrier token and place it with Teleportation Evacuation.

Nightcrawler being able to place objects elsewhere? How does this work? I didn't know you could attack objects.

As a follow up, could Nightcrawler place the gamma-bomb somewhere else?

The power says Target, not character. Anything that can be targeted by a close-combat attack and that is not firmly attached to the floor (printed on the map) can be place somewhere else by that annoying elf, including objects , barrier markers, etc. Can the Gamma Bomb be targeted by close-combat attack ? If yes then Nightcrawler can use his SP on it.

That's pretty cool! Whats the procedure for targeting an object with NC? Just declare it, or do you need to roll something?

No attack roll needs to be made, but if I remember well you can make one anyway (to get a potential critical hits that would allow you to destroy the object). Same for barrier markers. I'm not 100% sure that you can choose to make the roll thu.

As of the most recent PAC, you cannot choose to make an attack roll against an object or terrain. You still auto-hit, but there's no more hoping for blades/crits.

No, blades specifies "you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack roll." Since you can no longer make an attack roll against an object or blocking terrain, you would never be able to make a successful one.

There is always Sunder...

SUNDER
Cost: 3
Prerequisite: Blades/Claws/Fangs
Choose a character. When the character succeeds at a close combat attack targeting blocking terrain, a wall, or an object, it deals 3 damage.
Availability: Supernova F004

He could not. The Gamma Bomb is an immobile object and immobile objects can't be placed or moved.

Ah, found the rule in the Rulebook:

IMMOBILE OBJECTS
Immobile objects can’t be picked up, moved or placed by any game effect unless specified by the object’s abilities.

I guess Matter-Eater Lad will continue to enjoy it on his dinner plate.

From the Player's Guide:
Game effects which would allow a figure to relocate terrain may not be used on terrain printed on the map.
