What map will be used the most at Worlds?
The list is out and we now know what maps will be used at Worlds this year. To be honest I'm shocked by these maps as some can just stop a team dead in its tracks and not give it a fair shot.

The Nexus. Thats a good map to shut down a powerful team.

Shadowland...its a good map and the simple 6 cap helps. Unless playing against a colossal I'd choose it every time.

Players will skip on colossals due to the threat of Bizarro World, and I also suspect we'll see players skip on Chase Thanos due to the threat of Shadowland. That said, I suspect we'll still see players using long range, and for that Shadowland will still make plenty of appearances. I think that HSS can still use its half range as long as it doesn't go over 6, so that alone takes away a lot of Shadowland's perceived setbacks.

Shadowland.

Incidentally, I played a Hand swarm on that map. For a ninja stronghold, there aren't a lot of places for them to hide...

I could not agree more. I really thought that Ziran would easily win Worlds. However, a simple Theme team has a very strong chance of shutting him down just by picking this map.

I think the two big guns will be Nexus for Gama Bomb teams and Shadowland for Gauntlet teams.

Shadowlands deffently that cut down to a 6 range is a game changer for the right team.

The Nexus. Punching strategic holes in the blocking terrain can make HSS teams really dangerous.
And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand. That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nomine Patri. Et Fili. Spiritus Sancti

Realm of Death is my choice. It's indoor with lots of walls limiting hypersonic and making it a turtle's game.

It also shuts down colossai better than Bizarro World due to the prevalent indoor blocking.

Shadowland though does shut down big range, but I don't see that as a problem as the meta is Gauntlet plus Hypersonic for max Turtling.
Eh . . .

I think the Realm Of Death will have a big impact. Lots of walls and corridors will be big for HSS characters and big ranged characters will have to get really close to draw line of fire.
