So excited for all of this, the tagging, the LE's everything. Can't decide which gang I want to join though...
Not removing this line from my signature until we get Killer Moth (12/17/12).
Missing IC Remakes: Whirlwind, Constrictor, Controller, Boomerang, Blizzard, Puppet Master
One of the main things I liked from what I read was the fact I thought me and some friends can take a gang moniker and run rampant over Gotham...
If I am forced to play with people I don't know or like much, that will SEVERLY lower my desire to be a part of it.

Here's where I think your comment is biased towards just towards winning an extra prize for your buddy also. To be in a Swiss-style tournament you already may have to play with people you don't like or know, you're not getting another ally fighting alongside you on a map.
Possibilities exist where you're on the same team and don't both get the prize; you may face him twice in finals and the victor causes the other to drop by the end to fourth place in the "Gang". What if also your regulars only number around 13-14 and the winning gang numbers two; a good judge should give a prize to the next most winning "Gang leader", in that case as the best two players you may both get prizes.
I think more so than wrecking the most-winningest's time, try to be flexible to the point that it should be made fair for the whole player base.
I've completed collecting the IC, CT, XP, CM, Ult, MM, FF, AW, Sin, SN, AVE, M&M, SI, HoT, WoS, GSX, CA, IH, GG, AVM, CW, M10th, ASM & IM3 sets.
Looking to get PR Professor X (W/X-Men) and pre-release IC Wolverine.
Personally, I hope that the gang you get in month 1 is what you have to stick with throughout the event. Prevents all sorts of possible drama. Plus, there's some loyalty there. If I get stuck with a newer or less skilled player on my gang, it's in my best interest to take some time to coach him a bit and see if we can get him to step his game up. The better he does, the better the gang does. The better the gang does, the better chance we have of winning a bonus prize.
Assuming gangs are distributed somewhat evenly when it comes to skill...
Just got back from the Alliance Games Gathering in Pikesville, MD. Fun time. Basically a little retailer open house. My venue owner couldn't attend, so I went in his place. We couldn't take pictures of the No Man's Land stuff. Nothing really new reported but here's some additional info:
-Basically confirming that the Batcave and Penguin will be given to the players who score the highest point totals overall for participating and winning the No Man's Land events. So the best player in the end should be the gang leader of the gang with the most territory. The Batcave does look fantastic, and does have a spot to add your utility belt for both display and because it adds mechanics to the dial. We weren't allowed to take photos of the Batcave.

Is the Batcave on a 3x6 base, then, and you insert the Belt as Thanos fits on the Shrine? Is it just a big diorama of a classic Batcave? Was there a big penny, playing card, or T-Rex?

I think it bears pointing out that the monthly winner(s) and the winning gang leaders won't necesarily be the same person/people; Gang point totals and a player's point totals are two different things after all.

Batcave has the computer set up and a nice little stairwell that loops around the front. No T-Rex, playing card or giant penny though. There is a nice little spot for the utility belt. The belt will make a nice little display on it, especially with the cowl in the middle of the belts dial. There is a spot on the center that fits a figure, so you can put your favorite Batman on it. It is a 3x6 with a dial and all that. I assume the Batcave can be played without the belt, but I'm sure that adds to the mechanics.
And Muncho, you're right. But more likely than not, the best gang leader will also feature the player with the most overall points. I guess it also depends on who your other gang members are. Like if the best player at a venue got paired with the worst one in a gang together, that could skew the win for the best player.

That is not true at all. For instance if I choose to represent Black Mask I will probably be the only person at my store to do so. I could go 3-0 and win the event, but if the Joker team had 6 people in it even if they all go 0-3 They would still actually get more points for the month and take that territory over me. IF this process repeats itself I could win every event, but still not be able to get my grubby hands on The Penguin figure.

True. But I would like to think that most venues will try and evenly distribute their players amongst the gangs. I plan to randomly assign "gang captains" at the begining of the first event and then the gang captains will roll off to see the drafting order for drafting other players at the venue into their gang. At least at my venue I don't plan on having anything like the above 1 to 6 scenerio (not to see it can't or wouldn't happen, but I think most venues will make sure the gangs are as even as possible with people).
Okay, it's done! I have gone through everything I could find and updated the Evidence threads. Anything not in the Evidence threads now is something I have officially missed, so please bring it to my attention. Things should be moving back to normal now!
