While I agree with part of your sentiment...its not because of chases, they dont bother me too much I expect them every set and just try to prepare for them, if they are in the set great I am ready. If they arent in the set then great I wont have to spend as much money .

My beef is the darn release dates...I expect them to push stuff back, but once its pushed back I dont expect it to be pushed back again its really getting out of hand.

I hear a lot of people saying that they think the chases should be extra promotions. If there are chases, they can't be extra with the format of the Anniversary sets. There are 24 total, and if you pull 3 for chases, that leaves you with 21, so that'd leave one character without a pair, which defies the logic of the promotion theme.

The thought of that makes your head your heart? You turn into a turtle?

I would prefer DC having no chases and Marvel having a complete AvX set of chases with at least one chase per figure in the set

There has been talk of Chases being a part of that mechanic. So, let's say you have Uncommon Rookie Weapon X, and he promotes into Chase Veteran Wolverine.

So, there you go. Logic un-defied.

I'm afraid those chase are real, and they are taking up spots like you said, and you're perfectly right.

Bucky didn't act that way as Captain America though. Brubaker (and I imagine Bendis) always kind of had him rushing headlong into battle. Falcon jokes about it in the 2 Americas arc: something about rushing in and getting captured being Bucky's favorite plan.

Stealth and Sharpshooter for Bucky as the Winter Soldier (like in the new series - where Bucky is using his own strengths instead of trying to live up to Steve's mantle) would be awesome, of course.

Ok. I'll give ya he got captured quite a bit, but he could still be stealthy. I donno. It just didn't feel like Bucky Cap to me. But whatevs. It was the sculpt that really made me go from "YEAH! Bucky Cap!!!" to "damn! I doubt I'll ever play this"

Wow quite a few people either have me on their ignore or think I am dense. The guy said there us 24 figures in each anniversary. 3 of those are chases. The chases have less rare counterparts. Batman rookie is a CUR his vet is a chase etc.
Justice League has no chased but is 21 figures which I'd a strange number in my opinion. I asked the guy many questions to clarify. The chases share a theme.

I doubt Wizkids/NECA fed misinformation. Could have been a mistake but I doubt it. I rather JL have 21 regulars and 3 chases. If 10th had to have chases I am also in the boat with those who want 24 plus 3 extra.
Alas I think he knew what he was talking about. Why would he mention a theme?

I won't talk DC since i'm not a DC fan

But since the "big three" of marvel universe, Thor/Cap/Iron-Man would be the better choice (in my opinion) as chase because we already have A HELL OF A LOT of them... We saw that iron-man is not one of them, so either it's Wolverine (another big three) or Spidey (same) which would probably piss more people off (weapon x turning into... who ? or weapon x is the chase ? / spidey being underrepresented in CUR slots for modern age) OR WORSE they aren't the big three at all (which means they are underrepresented clix like Magneto for example which is...well... a hell of a lot worse !)

It's frightening... And i'm concerned/worried.

Not sure what the Marvel chases are. However, for DC, I think they're going to be Black Lanterns.
