While we are getting the "I dunno how many'est" version of HULK, Spidey, Wolverine and Daredevil there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut.

As Chaos War introduced the first trio-character in Avengers Prime...I present to you for the first time a yet unclixed trio...THE NIGHTSTALKERS.

The Nightstalkers, consist of Blade the Vampire Hunter, Frank Drake a decendent of Dracula and Hannibal King a private eye with vampire powers and a craving, yet no need for blood. They were originally created by writer D. G. Chichester, penciller Ron Garney and inker Tom Palmer.
They reached their popularity zenith during the early and mid 90's when they had their own ongoing title under the Midnightsons (keyword) family of books.
At that time, Blade had not yet changed into the Daywalker you might know from the movies. Back then was still a regular human with excessive training in the use of all kinds of blade-weapons and stakes.
His teammate Hannibal King possessed all of the classic vampiric powers like turning into a wolf, shapechanging into mist or mind-controlling the beasts of the night.
The third member, Frank Drake functioned as the brain behind this operation. He developed a gun who's energy rays would harm only occult threats and called her Linda (as in Blair) or the Excorcist.

Possible powers for the Nightstalkers might be:

Destroy the Lillin - charge
King's vampiric powers - Nightstalkers can use leap/climb, phasing/teleport and shape change
Out of the dark - stealth
Here's what Linda's got to say - penetrating/psychic blast
Drake's ingenuity - Nightstalkers can use energy explosion, outwit and perplex
Swordmaster - blades/claws/fangs
Turn into mist - smoke cloud
Blade's durability - Nightstalkers can use toughness, super senses and regeneration

The Exorcist - ranged combat expert

TRIO ATTACK - Give Nightstalkers a double power action. They can be given 3 close or ranged combat actions as free actions, each targeting a single character. These free actions may be used to activate the same effect.

Vampire hunters - Nightstalkers modify their attack value by +2 when attacking characters with the Monster keyword.

I've definitely been itching for a Darren McGavin clix for a long time.

The is a Blade REV in Mutant Mayhem.

First may I say that Blade has been clixed before, first in infinity challenge then again in mutant mayhem. That being said, Blade is way over due to be remade. As for Drake and King, maybe a duo clix? I don't like the idea of a trio clix for these guys, because if I wanted to do the midnight sons theme, I would want more than 3-4 figures on that team ( Dr. Strange, Morbius, Ghost Rider, Johny Blaze, Nightstalkers, Darkhold Redemers) actualy the Redemers would be good for a trio-clix themselves as the indivdual members are fairly indistinct.

it's funny that you brought up the nightstalkers, as i'd been sitting on a Midnight Sons set list that features these three prominantly as well as introducing the 'undead' keyword (which is rife w/potential for SPs). here's my take on these 3:

NO THERE WASN'T!... Fine it exists but only the vet has a shred of use other than tie up and the IC REV is even worse.

I'd like to see a Midnight Sons ATA that is Identical to the Shadowpact One or even better (obviously more expensive) A dual costed on that for 1 Point it's the Shadowpact or for 7-10 (not sure how to bill it) Grants Mystics TA. The 1 point version would be for those that already have the Mystics TA.

Now that the movie rights to The Nightstalkers have reverted back to Marvel Studios from New Line Cinema, I'd really like to see a proper Nightstalkers movie. Maybe throw Rachel van Helsing into the mix, so it isn't such a sausage-fest. She was Frank Drake's girlfriend and fellow vampire hunter for years before The Nightstalkers got their own book.

Best damn articles on the Realms. Thats saying something cause the other writers do a hella job, too.

Ah...Nightstalkers. Back when Blade was cool. Before Wesley Snipes played him in the films and before they started having him use guns.

It was also the time when we had the good Ghost Rider in the form of Daniel Ketch with Johnny Blaze just having the hellfire shotgun. Those were good times.

The first time I ever saw Blade in comics was Nightstalkers #1, where he was in an insane asylum and trying to stake a fellow inmate with a broken chair leg for putting candy corn over his canines to look like a vampire. Good times.
