Do you know this to be 100% true? I mean, selling prize kit stuff is kinda scummy no matter what, but you speak as though you know him.
I know what my venue had to do to get prizes. I know what was required by Wizkids.
The only other way he got 2 prize kits, was if somehow Wizkids sent him both prize kits without him having to post the events in the W.E.S.
Either way, I already sent a message with a link to the appropriate people. If they do something about it. Great! If not, well I just feel bad for the players in his area.
I still think the seller is a d-bag. If he just sold his own Judge prizes, that's one thing, but he sold the player prizes as well. I'm entitled to my opinion whether others agree or not.

Slightly off topic, do the event results have to be reported? We've ran all 7 events but I've documented everything with pen and paper, I don't own the shop and don't have the passwords for the venue in the event system.

I've been reporting mine, but as of right now, they don't have to be. There have been some "rumors", that they might have to be in the future. I'm just covering my bases.

One of my Venues orders 2 prize kits for all IG tournaments but we only run 1 event and use the prizes from both kits for it. So that alot more people get prizes. We have never had any issue with this. I don't get the impression that they check.
I know many venues that dont post on the HC website at all and have no issues either.
I dont think this is a requirment, only that their venue is registered in general, but not on a tourney by tourney basis.
My venue's previous owner was a flake and even though he was supposed to be reporting our results all along, no one is sure if he was actually doing it. The new owners, who took possession of the store this past week, will do a better job. They certainly couldn't do any worse.
Glad to know that the prize support wasn't contingent on reporting. We were starting to worry.
Who hath been worthy of mighty Mjolnir?
Rookie Jade, Veteran Hawk, Crisis Nightwing, The Wizard Shazam!, Howard the Duck (twice in one tourney), #040 Captain America, Lockheed, Dr. Donald Blake, Chase Odin, Thor and Loki, DC10 Wally West Flash, Frog of Thunder (twice in one tourney)

Back in the day, WK used to shut down auctions for LEs when they hadn't even been released yet. Hell, they'd shut them down even a couple weeks later after the events. WK has to know that the guy who sold these rteally just screwed them. Here WK makes the effort for a big event that supposed to drive sales and support and here this guy pockets the profits of that.
In order for the IG prizes to be bought, one of the requirements by Wizkids was that you had to post a tournament on the W.E.S. If you didn't post it, you couldn't order the prize kit.
This d-bag posted 2 tournaments, bought the OP kit, and then sold everything on ebay. I'm sure he cancelled the tournaments right after he got his prizes in.
The seller is a d-bag of the highest order.
FYI this isn't true. Wizkids says that posting/registering events was required, but didn't follow thru with it.
I know of a venue that didn't post, or even register, anything on the Wizkids site - and they have gotten 2X of each month's prize kits - including Thanos.
Nobody asked them if they registered anything on the Wizkids event site - they just ordered them plain and simple. And they have run all the tourneys legit. They are a newer venue and most likely didn't realize they needed to post any events. They simply asked to order the prize kits - and were sent them each month.
They are a great venue and I'm not "outting" them - just saying that people were told they had to register, but it's not true.
Thanos, from what we can tell, seems pretty cool, but hype for the character and piece will drive price for a while. I honestly see him settling at about $125 after a couple months.

I don't even see him staying that high. There are a lot of venues that got 2X prize kits each month - so they aren't as ultra rare as everyone is thinking.
He's cool - but honestly not that cool now that we've seen it. I was expecting something different I guess. The white base doesn't really make the figure look that great. I dunno, maybe I need to see it in person.
It's also a complicated figure, with tons of rules. And it's one of those huge point colossal (AKA sit on your shelf) pieces. For some it will be a trophy of months of playing to finally get it in the end. Which is pretty cool. But I dunno.
I could totally change my mind when I see it in person. But I dunno. I won't be buying one. I certainly don't see why someone would spend upwards of $200+, which is what we were all guessing.
Just to be clear, WizKids required venues to register and post events, HOWEVER, Alliance/Diamond are the ones actually releasing the kits. Essentially it is up to them to enforce the restriction. If they are not clearing venues with WizKids for the OK to send them kits, then it is on them.
Lately, any time someone gets something early, all communication from WizKids to such a person led me to believe WizKids was only concerned with how the product left Diamond/Alliance.
You know....when I said I couldnt wait for the IG8(not a bounty hunter) stories, I didn't know the drama was gonna start today. Hmmm.....I can't wait to see the powerball results.
