While we are getting the umpteenth version of Superman, Batman and some color or other of Lantern, there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut.

Today I will be talking about one of the JLA's earliest foes… Kanjar Ro!!

Kanjar Ro orinally appeared as the dictator of the planet Dhor. In an attempt to conquer other nearby worlds, he enslaved the Justice League of America and used them as pawns. He failed of course, and was imprisoned by the JLA. He has subsequently returned to face them several times.

Why clix him? More villains! Kanjar Ro is a long-standing JLA foe, as well as being part of DC's cosmic history. He also later joined the R.E.B.E.L.S. and has shown up in any number of other space-related stories.

Who would he play with? Kanjar has a habit of teaming up with other tyrants and/or space pirates (only to betray them later!) but he does tend to gang up with other for help.

As mentioned above, he was also a member of R.E.B.E.L.S. (Speaking of which, where's our Vril Dox?)

Kanjar Ro is more of a manipulator than a fighter, but he does tend to get dragged into the fight sometimes.

He would have long range and multiple bolts. He could use a special power to combine steath and mind control, and maybe something to give him a pulse-wave-like power crossed with Incapacitate to represent the Gamma Gong's ability to paralyze large numbers of people.

Well beyond being a recurring Justice League villain for the past 51 years, he also appeared in the JLU, Batman Brave & Bold cartoons and was a villain in the Green Lantern: First Flight movie.

Kanjar Ro with Gamma Gong was one of my early personal wishes for Removeable Objects in DC. Still waiting, NECAk!ds.

There is a song that mentions Kanjar Ro in it... i just cant remember what it is.. its gonna b ug me all day long now, i also liked the squid like Kanjar Ro lookin dude in Green Lantern FIrst FLight

Wasn't he one of the ones people could vote for when Big Barda won. I'm hoping that the others in that vote thing will also get clixed anyways as most of them were ones I'd want.

I know very little about the character but any figure that gets a power named Gamma Gong into this game gets my vote!

I am glad you are posting unclixed figures. DC Comics thought enough of Kanjar Ro to put in their Encylopedia, so there he should be made into a clix figure. I want to see him made and other JLA Foes that have never been made into a clix, or has not been made with a Powers Card, new sculpt, and dial.

Kanjar Ro's Gamma Gong can remove armor and paralyze, so I might not make it an object, but rather a Power, since it is considered his weaponary, and it would make damage reducers uselss, so I think the Power Psychic Blast is wht I would put on the dial for that. However, I also would like the dial to have Incapacitate for the Gong's paralyzing effect.

The Energi-Rod that Kanjar Ro carries allows him to levitate and communicate through hyper-space, so I would add flight and phasing teleport.

As far as his Defense, I think Barrier or Stealth would be appropriate, since I think the Energi-Rod can put up a force field, and Mastermind and some Outwit seems right.

Also, since he is vulnerable to bars of Dhorite, like Superman is to Kryptonite, perhaps have a Special Object Dhorite that can be used against him.

Here's a Kanjar Ro dial I'd come up with a while ago. I would love to see this guy made. Kind of sad Big Barda beat him out in the big poll for who should be made, though she needs a new version badly herself.
