Build a set challenge! Gatecrashers! Part 1
So, someone challenged yours truly: "If you can do a better job, why don't you design a set?"

Well, if you didn't already know, thewildeman of HeroClix is just WILD about HeroClix and up to just about any challenge. So, be careful what you wish for. Is it better? I guess you'll have to be the judge! I call this set, GATECRASHERS!

So here's the deal; nothing you see too much of already will be in this set! No Hulk, Spider-man, Wolverine, or much of any other repeats. If they are a repeat, they needed to be redone anyway! This set stretches across the multiverse and even introduces some new keywords.

I'm starting with the commons, so let's get rolling shall we?

Emergency!: Give EMT a power action and move EMT up to half movement and EMT may use support as a free action.

How's that for emergency support? And I know what you're thinking, "Why does an Emergency Medical Technician get the Scientist keyword?" Well, how do you think they become an EMT? Medical science requires all sorts of scientific knowledge and they have to be able to act fast. This quite possibly makes for the best support piece you've ever seen.

Yep, more for the Savage Land. You know how the Savage Land is practically crawling with cavemen and dinosaurs? Well, now we could have a cheap tribesman to put on Savage Land teams. I know, I could have put a minion trait on there for when put with Kazar or something, but I thought I would keep in simple. And besides, he's already a nice Charge BCF piece for cheap, why raise his cost?

Now, you're going to scoff at this at first, but wait until you get a look at them all together. By themselves they aren't that great, but together, they are really annoying and come to a nice 300 points. I'm talking about the Crazy Gang! (See Exaclibur's early days)

Ranting and Raving: So long as Red Queen is on a themed team and within 3 spaces of all friendly figures who share a keyword with her, Red Queen must be the first figure attacked and KO'd on her team.

You see, they might be weak, but they can literally start marching right up to their opponents, thanks to the Red Queen and possibly do some serious damage before they get taken down.

Our Quarry: At the beginning of the game, choose an opposing figure; if that figure is valued less than 100 points, this Warwolf gets a +1 to attack against that figure; if that figure is valued at 100-299, this Warwolf gets +2 to attack against that figure; if the figure is valued 300 or more, this Warwolf gets +3 to attack that figure until that figure is KO'd. A new target may not be chosen after the named target is KO'd.

There were six Warwolves and anytime you use more than one, they are instantly dangerous. Yes, you can use their trait per each Warwolf on the team for separate targets. 75 points instantly puts 4 of them on a 300 point team! And what's with this Interdimensional stuff? Well read on!

I've always found the transporter ability to not make sense for it's name and be too watered down for the figures that use it. Now he can make more realistic use of those powers, just like in the comics.

Now, Ferro (four armed swordsman) is a one purpose guy, but don't worry, the rest of the Technet will soon follow as I do the uncommons next week! And guess what? They are special costed for a 500 point team with their leader!

Actually I wound up using the dial generator right here on realms from the units section.

Past that, as most of you know about ADuckwhat's dial generator, DO NOT GO THERE. As of the 31st it was hacked with malware and set off all my security alerts. Hopefully Robert gets that fixed soon.

All your figs do a steady drop in their stats, and a host of them are 5 clicks long. You also pack powers in every available space, with little consistency. I dunno, I'm not sure that I like the style en masse. On one or three figs, it'd look fine; for a whole pack of 16 commons, maybe not.

I do like your Blade a lot. And I would play that EMT.

Sorry - if I design a set its going to be WoS 2. Focused on the rogues gallery, un-clixed figures and those in need of a remake. (Rhino - I'm looking at you!) But it will include at least two Spider-man figures. #001 - the Veteran Spidey everyone (and by everyone I mean ME) has been clamoring for and at least one SR figure featuring one of his Horizon Labs creations. There will be NO JJJ or MJ, but there will be a Mephisto that's worth a damn.

And, as much as I hate Chase figures, I would include one:

Seriously, I Suck: Joe Quesada does penetrating damage to any Marvel Character to which he is adjacent. When using Poison, Joe Quesada affects only friendly characters.

Your intention was that the only benefit from Leadership that a Crazy Gang team gets is an extra action, right? The Knave can't remove action tokens from any of the gang members because they're all the same point value.

The only thing I disagree with this is you gave Blade a gun, a'la the films. Prior to the films he did not use guns, only archaic weapons. It wasn't a good change for the character and ruined him for many fans.
