Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha! We continue our series of previews for the DC HeroClix: 10th Anniversary set by shining the spotlight on a wisecracking member of Justice League International who is also one-half of the “Blue and Gold” team with Booster Gold. Please welcome Ted Kord, better known as Blue Beetle!

Blue Beetle? Really? They're ok, but really? BB is a 10th anniversary caliber character? And I can't get a Captain Carrott...

Love them both. My only quibble is that I wish the Jamie BB had the Justice League International keyword.

I'm a fan of both Beetles and also wish Jaime had JLI keyword (especially since they referenced the arc with his regen power), but my question is why is Jaime Mystics for team ability and keyword? Last I heard the scarab was alien tech. Did they change that in the new 52?

I love the 94pt version

Love them both. For 4 points more than the Hypertime version, Ted gets a significant upgrade, and he got the Birds of Prey keyword! And for only 11 points more Jamie gets some huge upgrades over his origin version, and gains the Teen Titan keyword. Personally, I'm really looking forward to both of these. And the sculpts are both fantastic!

That Ted Kord sculpt is pretty. I really like the 94pt version but I was kind of wondering about that Mystics TA too - did people take damage when they attacked the scarab. I don't seem to remember that but maybe.

I want that Jamie. I need that Jamie*. That is a fantastic dial for a fantastic character and now I can forget about that amorphous chunk of horribleness from Origins and wow that is a sweet sculpt too and his only weakness really is defense but The Scarab should do a good job of protecting him anyway and eat #### sm001 Superman where's your 7 damage now?

I so wanna get the Ted Kord version and mod him jumping over the Plastic Man Mailbox figure from Cosmic Justice Set.

Cheer up. Two out of three ain't bad.

The scarab was once thought to be Mystic but that was retconned prior to the DCNU 52 as alien technology from The Reach. The Reach just showed back up in DCNU 52 so its still alien tech. Jaime shouldn't have Mystics. If they did Dan Garret, it might make more sense, but not on Jaime. The Neca Research department needs to be fired. They already messed up the keywords on JL52 (example: Green Arrow nor Hawkman are on the JLA in the current comics).

A lot of us have been asking for Ted. He was a beloved character. Triple EE is always fun, and should help with promotion tokens. I like the relatively-long 7 range, but hate the missing Super Buddies keyword.

Jaime is pretty good, but I thought he'd be more cosmic than mystical. And just like the Origin Unique, this Beetle's defense values are too weak compared to his offensive output. I see him with a big target on his back.

I love Ted Kord so I'm glad this figure is in the set. I especially love his triple target EE.

Wow, triple target EE with sharpshooter, toughness and a 10 attack? For 55 points? That's pretty sweet. Love both sculpts, too. Was hoping I could skip most of the DC stuff this fall, but these are both pretty nice.
