100 to 1 Royal Rumble!

FINALS (Battle Report)

The first 100 Heroclix pieces made that are 100pts have all battled it out to see which one stands alone. In Round 1, each battle featured 20 pieces fighting to survive to make it to the finals. This is what happened when there were only the final 10 survivors, 5 fan favorites, and 5 best brawlers from Round 1 fighting it out in one last Battle Royale.

20 finalists are gathered inside a strange small area surrounded by an inescapable wall of energy. What happens next is best told by those who watch...

Bob, The Monitor: THIS. IS. IT.

Uatu, the Watcher: Why are you talking like that, Bob?

B: I'm excited, Uatu!

U: Me too, partner. It looks like this is going to be the end of it.

B: *sniff*

U: Are you?

B: No! Shut up!

U: C'mon, buddy, let's do this...

B: HOLY!!

KRA-KA-BOOOOOOOM!

B: Supergirl*. Oh my gosh.
[*writer's note: This is (obviously Supergirl FF). I'm going to call her Supergirl and the SM Supergirl will get a different spelling later on...]

U: That is...

B: Folks, before anyone else did anything this blur of red and blue picked up a boulder and slammed it down so hard on the Skrull Imposter of Yellowjacket that...

U: He's been knocked out. Just like that. This final battle has begun, ladies and gentlemen.

B: Looks like she found a corner and will wait to see what happens now. Meanwhile The Joker hightails it outta his starting spot and finds his own corner to stand his ground.

U: Worked pretty well for him last time, and it looks like he threw Krypto a bone to keep him sitting still for a time. Now we're hearing the sound of stalling engines. Both Klingon ships attempt to get free, but each fails.

B: That's not a good way to get started. And speaking of bad starts it looks like Nova decided to take a run at Comedian, but couldn't connect... and then Comedian makes a move to retaliate, but looks like his domino mask came loose or something because he just flailed about and clipped his own arm.

U: That damage is surely going to cost him. Quasar just moves closer to a batch of opponents, but doesn't get too close. And oh yes, August General in Iron tears into Benjamin J. Grimm. Grimm appears to be standing tough, but that hit looked awful.

B: Nick Fury decides he's got nowhere to run, so instead he tosses down some kind of gadget that seems to leave the Mindless One with a weird glow, and then it's just a straight headshot from Nick that hurts the Mindless One, but Nick is feeling the sting from tangling with the... whatever it is.

U: Mindless One fails to retaliate, but at the opposite side of the field I can see Abomination ripping apart the IKS Bortas while hmmm... other(?) Supergirl pours some heat vision into the IKS Kronos One.

B: Oooo...Ben Grimm just sucker-punched Nick Fury. Nick made his way to the corner, but still looks badly hurt at this point.

U: Volstagg walks his way over to that first Supergirl with lots of arrogance and delivers a solid hit to this Girl of Steel. And it looks like Gladiator looked around and rather than moving to a target just unloaded a blast into Comedian who really looks unprepared against all these cosmic and mystical foes.

B: While most everyone needs a minute, and Joker makes sure that includes the Mindless One, Kronos One tries, but fails to hurt the...uhhh...Second Supergirl? Supergurl? Supergrrl? I don't know folks, but she doesn't look too happy.

U: Nick Fury grabs away the Comedian's knife, but fails to take his gun... Oh, and that smell, yes, Etrigan has arrived where Jason Blood had been standing. Then in quick succession we see Ben Grimm fail to land a hit on the August General, and Gladiator fail to finish off Comedian.

B: The first Supergirl weighs her chances and decides to strike, hoping she's found a weakness in Volstagg, but the hit doesn't connect. Volstagg is already winding up to retaliate...

U: Joker must be cracking himself up... he was juggling grenades and it looks like before he could toss it over to Krypto the pin must have slipped out. Joker caught in his own blast is looking vulnerable.

B: Blue Devil connects for the first time this game and tags the Bortas which can't seem to get out of the grasp of Abomination.

U: Comedian puts his gun to Fury's head and Fury manages to escape the worst of it, but is still really showing his age out there today as he can't answer back against Comedian.

B: Oh great. That's it. I'm blind.

U: You're not blind, just give it a moment. Folks, that was Quasar who just lit up five of his opponents with that single blast. I see the Bortas, Blue Devil, Abomination, Human Torch, and Gladiator all feeling that burn.

B: Okay... I feel like I missed something... but whatever... Supergrrl is just pouring on the pain to the Kronos One. That ship is falling apart out there.

U: Volstagg finally finishes his punch and Supergirl takes another hit. She is looking beat badly now.

B: Oh, but it's the IKS Kronos One that falls apart as Krypto races over and slams into the remains of the hull to score a KO.

U: Looks like just about everyone needs a minute again... oh except...

B: Benjamin J. Grimm storms in and slams down his fists shaking back Nova and Human Torch. Johnny takes an extra bit of hurt slamming against that forcefield keeping everyone here.

U: Supergirl can't get away from Volstagg and while it takes him a while to finally wind up, he delivers his third and final punch and Supergirl is KO'd.

B: Blue Devil makes a quick run for it across the field, probably trying to avoid Quasar. And right nearby, Nova comes blasting in and smacks The Joker.

U: Comedian shows no respect for his fellow soldier and just puts Nick Fury down hard. The blast from that shot slammed Nick against the forcefield and took his last bit of strength with it.

B: Quasar lights it up again, this time the Bortas, Abomination and Gladiator all get caught in the blast.

U: Gladiator suddenly looked vulnerable and August General in Iron flew over and in one hit put Gladiator into the ground for good.

B: Oh, now Abomination has torn apart the last of the Bortas. Those Klingons had it bad out here.

U: What were you calling her? Supergrrl?

B: Yeah. Why?

U: She just ended The Joker with a blast of heat vision.

B: OW! Speaking of blast! Human Torch lets out a HUGE blast!

U: Looks like no one was ready for that one and they got pushed back a little from Johnny. Let me try and count them up. I'm seeing: Blue Devil, Nova, Comedian, August General in Iron, Mindless One, The Demon, and Benjamin J. Grimm all hit by that heat wave.

B: That may be a game-changer. Even if Johnny doesn't last--and he is looking weak out there--that blast hit all of the mystical monsters softening them up for everyone else.

U: Nearly everyone takes a second to recoup, but I'm seeing the Mindless One grab up a gumball machine and--

B: OH! A blast of hellfire and Comedian is KO'd by The Demon!

U: I was going to say that...

B: I just get excited, man.

U: All right... anyway, it looks like everyone is ready for more... well, except Blue Devil who is tired of being blasted everywhere he goes, so he makes a move for Nick Fury's old corner.

B: POW! Nova finally scores his first KO taking down the Human Torch.

U: Quasar lights up again, this time only hitting the August General in Iron and Abomination.

B: The General decides to go after Ben Grimm rather than keep being lit up. And he gets lucky because Benjamin fails to land his hit on the Great Ten member.

U: Mindless One manages to land a hit on Supergrrl with that gumball machine. And across the field I see Abomination... I...

B: Let's not say what it looks like. Point is that nothing happened. He's just sitting there looking like he's taking a-- well nevermind.

U: Supergirl escapes the Mindless One and avoids all the magic and lands a hit on the August General in Iron. He is looking pretty shaky out there...

B: While the rest take a rest, The Demon breathes some fire at Nova that burns the Corpsman. And Benjamin Grimm lands a hit on the August General. Oh and I see Abomination running from Quasar. Not sure it's going to be far enough though...

U: Blue Devil blasts Nova now, but that doesn't stop him as the Human Rocket charges right into the August General, leaving him with almost nothing left. I'm watching him try and quickly put his armor back together, but Supergrrl finishes things and scores the KO of August General in Iron.

B: Quasar lines up a shot but it looks to only catch Abomination who now looks like he's on his last leg.

U: Volstagg is still looking very strong as he smacks Krypto hard.

B: The big idiot might have been trying to pet him.

U: Possible... but still the dog looks wounded. Krypto runs free and tries to finish off Abomination, but can't get his teeth into the gamma beast.

B: The Mindless One completes the trifecta hitting Nova with a blast and now Richard has been hit by all three of the mystical monsters out here. Abomination strains again... to no avail... ugh that looks so awkward.

U: The Demon now blasts Krypto and that yelp sounds terrible.

B: I just did the count and after Supergrrl put down the Iron Chef we're down to half of these fighters left. Things look like they are only going to get more brutal.

U: Blue Devil proves it and Abomination is KO'd by a blast up his... ummm... well, I'll let you folks imagine.

B: Quasar delivers a blast to Krypto and then I hear before I even see it as Supergrrl smacks Benjamin J. Grimm.

U: It looks like it is The Demon who who gets Krypto to play dead for his second KO.

B: Mindless One puts a little more hurt on Nova and then Supergrrl finishes off Benjamin J. Grimm. Oh and Volstagg runs in and finishes off Nova. By my count... that's...

U: Six fighters left. The Demon runs off to avoid Quasar's reach and just in time as he flares up... but apparently only the Mindless One is burned by it.

B: Ooo! The Mindless One actually hits Quasar back! People are just swinging wild and moving around trying to get their shot...

U: Blue Devil lands a blast next, hitting Supergrrl. That seems to have set her off and she barrels right at Quasar and drives a hard hit right through his quantum shields.

B: Mindless One scores the KO on Quasar! Just five left!

U: Mindless One then blasts Supergrrl. She uses her cold breath to shut down Blue Devil for a moment and that seems to hurt the mystic without any repercussions for Kara. Great strategy!

B: Volstagg decides to grab his third KO and takes the punishment for it. The Mindless One is down. Four left!

U: Magic is a weakness and Supergrrl gets hit by the Demon. She flies to a corner hoping to hold them back... but it looks like The Demon picks up a sink and Volstagg lumbers his way over to corner the Girl of Steel.

B: She tries to break free... but can't escape and The Demon scores his third KO and Supergrrl is out. THREE LEFT!

U: Volstagg knows the score and delivers a hit to the Demon that manages to do more than what he takes in return... but will he be able to hold out...

B: Blue Devil moves into the fight, The Demon misses his strike at Volstagg who AGAIN punches The Demon only to take that burn in return.

U: The Demon struggles but can't break free of them and Blue Devil actually puts him down.

B: TWO LEFT!

U: Volstagg lands a big hit on Blue Devil knocking him back, and again feeling that sting.

B: Volstagg dodges a blast and then sets himself right next to Blue Devil in those bushes to avoid more blasts.

U: Blue Devil lands a hit. Volstagg can't answer back.

B: Blue Devil again! Volstagg... I don't think he can do it!

U: WAIT.

B: OH. MY. NEW GODS.

U: Folks. I don't know how to explain this where you're going to believe it.

B: People listen: Volstagg hit. The hit... it knocked back Blue Devil into the forcefield.

U: Folks, Volstagg has won... and then was KO'd by the feedback!

Man, Blue Devil!

Never expected him to get that close.

Why in the world would Supergirl KO the only fig on the board that could neutralize all the Mystics? Otherwise the Mystics wouldn't have lasted as long as they did.

An epic finish to an epic fight! I can think of no more appropriate way for this to end, well done!

If only my poor Abomination had had just a *little* bit more luck with his regeneration rolls...

Because as a giant with outwit and 4Dam Psy Blast and Charge, he was the biggest threat on the board to her.

She can't expect the other fighters to do what she wants or for anyone to work together... they all want to be the last one standing.

Also, had Volstagg not been freed up to go get her, she probably would have been able to play clean-up while everyone else got softened up by each other...

Just didn't work out that way.
