Post WizKids @ Alliance Open House
A little treat for all you folks that couldn't make the Alliance Open House this year. It was a great show put on by a great partner. Check out what WizKids is doing in 2012 and 2013.

The set that interests me the most there has to be Wolverine and the X-men.

I understand that the game also has to change to keep things fresh but is it possible that adding more and more mechanics might prove too much for new players to get involved with?

I also like the little bit about not being able to show people the sculpt for fear itself

FEAR ITSELF!

Team dials look awesome. I've been talking about this for a while.

FEAR ITSELF!

30 plus figures in FEAR ITSELF!

Titans, and X-men and Spidey oh my!

FEAR ITSELF!
Let's stop the colossal hatred!

Team dials are a fanatically fun idea.

that's them Wizkids boys trying to think of every way they can use those switchclix mechanics.

ironically, back in the day, every figure with a flight base was a switchclix~!

they will allow different starting lines, with different power sets.

If I had to guess… and I don't have to but I will… they will have one starting cost, but multiple starting lines, much like figures now who have a rookie and experienced version on one dial, but imagine a dial that was for example: 125/125/125 with three different veteran starting lines. Your opponent won't know what dial he's facing until the match begins, and would allow you to change tactics against different opponents during a tournament.

just my guess, but there it is.

I've been saying this for awhile- and that was before vehicles, Improved Movement/Targeting, battlefield promotions, wild dials, switch dials, and team dials.

In the short term, it's kind of annoying; in the long term, it's a recipe for disaster.

I think Wild Dials will work like GG Xavin, with bouncing around the dial, not exactly following a 1,2,3,4 normal progress.

I appreciate the preview, but it sounds like we'll have a year's worth of product in by Summer, with more to come...

Streets of Gotham (ctd)
Spider-Man (full set?)
Teen Titans (full set)
Iron Man 3 (ctd)
X-Men (full set)

and lets not forget the four extremely competitive dials in the Batman board game.

On top of that, for those of you that don't limit your 'clix purchases to just comics, you also have Hobbit and more Star Trek.

And most (if not all) of that is just by summer...

Here I was thinking that the glut of product we received this year was merely because it was the 10th anniversary. Silly me; WK must figure that, since we could support all the product this year, we can do it every year.

Does the stuff look cool? Absolutely. However, I would prefer spreading all this product out over a year - as is, by the time this is all out we'll be seeing previews for the other half of the year!

I do wish the video had been better though; while WK released it like a bonus on facebook, it looks like someone had to sneak record it with their phone. Still, the audio was good.

Ah well, I guess I'll end my opinions here. Thanks for reading!
A new SR Power Girl in 2013 please! WizKids, ask me for ideas!

I'll bet you a coke that this is a return of the 'Blooded' mechanic from Horrorclix. Monster makes an attack and draws blood? move to clix X and become 'Wild'. Possibly building on the mechanic we saw with Emma Frost from Marvel Ann 10.
