DC HeroClix Teen TItans: Cinder, Cheshire, and Tattooed Man!
Welcome to another preview from the upcoming DC HeroClix: Teen Titans set. Today we look at the remaining trio from the Villains for Hire team base: Cinder, Cheshire and Tattooed Man. These three will be found with their Team base inside one of the DC HeroClix: Teen Titans Super Boosters.
After seeing the sculpts, my first reaction regarding Tattooed Man was why a character known for his come to life body art would be sculpted with an undershirt...!??!?!!??
Bare chested he would have really been a lot more visually appealing and emphasized his powers. Let's see his more of his tattoos WizKids...!!!
Nice to see him finally made in clix though, he's my 2nd want from this set so far... (Arrowette is the other)
I really want to like Tattooed Man, but those numbers are pretty awful for how much you're paying for him.
Thankfully, Cheshire and Cinder look pretty fun to use. I especially like that special Poison power on Cinder that basically gives her Armor Piercing against one chosen character.
The Cheshire remake is nice and I like her. At 100 points though, you're really going to have to take advantage of her wildcard to make her work. Her attack and damage is decent but there are cheaper poison pieces out there.
Tattoo'd man reminds me of Mandarin. He pays a premium for being able to do 1 of many things during a turn and over half his powers are always wasted.
I like all three. I really like tattoo man, but at his point cost hes not worth taking in 300pt games (imo). Too costly at that range for what his stats are. Maybe better at the higher marks.
So, Cinder is pretty sweet for the points, Cheshire is effective and reasonably costed, and Tatooed Man is an ability Swiss-Army-Knife with mediocre values for what you pay...hrm. I can totally get behind these figures except...
...we finally get a new and KICK-### Cheshire...and she does not have the Secret Six keyword. Robin gets Batman Family, Changeling gets Doom Patrol, Deathstroke gets SOCIETY on this incarnation, and most of the characters get appropriate generic keywords. So it seems teams the character had been on in the PAST (related to the time-frame of the team) are not being intentionally excluded...except for Cheshire. Fail. Fail, fail, fail. I'd start spouting off about a conspiracy, but I'm afraid there are really only two questions left:
1) Who is responsible for this oversight so they may be publicly reviled?
2) When (not if) are we getting a fix?

Advocate for full CSA remake and more Defenders! ...and would a 19DV Defender kill you while we're at it?
REClixed: Justice for Dmitri Pushkin (your sacrifice will not be forgotten)! New generic Rocket Red @50-75 points while we're at it?
How many figures are only going to be available (character-wise) in the Super Boosters?
Currently, six are known to be, and Trigon is going to have to be. Assuming the remaining Super Booster figures are Team Bases packaged with three members, the finally tally will be:
-5-6 Team Dials
--(which means) 15-18 individual Characters + Trigon

Cheshire is sort of a failure of dial design. Her trait and special power don't work together. The penetrating damage should have read as poison damage...or something. I don't know the character and the dial is ok. But just wasted opportunity. Hope it makes fans happy though at least.

Her trait gives her poison. So she could deal poison then take a power action to deal the 1 penetrating damage. They are two separate things. She doesn't lose trait when using the special power. She just doesn't give the -1 to defense when using the special power.
