Has there been an official ruling about adjacency with her plant objects? Break away and being attacked by characters adjacent to a plant object?
Next question:
If Poison Ivy uses her free or power action to place a plant object in a square already occupied by an object, can her controller then remove the other object from the game?
I believe the answer would be yes, making Poison Ivy an excellent Relic remover.
Is the jury still out on the first question? I just got mine and want to play her correctly...
"How does [insert special power] work with the new 2013 rules?"
Most everything special power-wise, we're looking into. The PAC changes may change the way some special powers function; we're checking on them before the June release. In the meantime, ask your judge.
PLANTS GROW WHEREVER SHE WALKS: After the resolution of a move action by Poison Ivy, place a Plant object in a square that she occupied or moved through that action. A Plant object is an immobile object that can be destroyed if it is dealt 1 damage. Poison Ivy considers squares adjacent to or occupied by Plant objects as adjacent to her. Poison Ivy can draw lines of fire and count range and squares from the square of any single Plant object.
CONTROL OVER ALL VEGETATION: Give Poison Ivy a power action and choose one of the following:
Accelerate Growth: Place a Plant object in a square of printed hindering terrain within 5 squares.
Sprout a Mighty Oak: Replace a Plant object with a blocking terrain marker.
Reclaim the Land: Destroy a Plant object and a wall or square of blocking terrain adjacent to the Plant object.
Entanglements: Poison Ivy can use Incapacitate as a free action, targeting all opposing characters that are adjacent to a Plant object.
Here are her powers.
LOL on her getting rid of relics or immobile objects if that even works. I know 2 items can't be in the same square if dropped by Super strength, not sure about if they're placed on top of each other.

For the first question:
Poison Ivy, and not everyone else, considers those squares adjacent. This is worded the same way as Larfleeze and his Orange Constructs. So, no, other characters couldn't attack her through the Plants because they are not Poison Ivy. Looks like she would have to roll break away, though, if she moves (Larfleeze only considers them adjacent for Poison and close combat, unlike Poison Ivy).

Exactly. Nothing in the description of Control Over All Vegetation states
that she destroys objects when this is used. Absolutely nothing prevents two objects from occupying the same square normally... only Super Strength (and the loss of Super Strength specifically) has such a wrinkle. Otherwise, via all sorts of other effects, you can stack objects all day long.

Wow, really, she needs to break away if someone is adjacent to one of her plant objects on the other side of the map?
That... better be hit with the errata bazooka - I'm so serious.
Why? There is nothing illegal about it. Just don't move, if it is that big of a deal.
There are plenty of other things she can do through the Plants that don't involve movement.
In fact, consider how she can move through the Plants (crossing the whole map in one step, potentially), it seems like a good way to balance out the effect.

Makes 0 sense. That would be like Professor X or Dr. Strange getting totally immobilized if you based one of their Astrals or friendly keyworded figures.

Do any of those effects create adjacency?
Nope.
Do any of those effects allow those characters to move across the map?
Nope.
I think your comparison makes zero sense, since those two effects are nothing like Poison Ivy's effects. The closest comparison that does make sense is Larfleeze's Orange Constructs... and that is limited to just close combat and Poison. He can't move through them like Poison Ivy.

Yes, I would be shocked if that is how the designer wanted it to work.
Colossals should Carry, and Punch 2 squares away.
Tweak Mind Control and Smoke Cloud.
Battle Fury should allow you to throw objects.
Just seems like another fun figure ruined by poor wording to me. The enemy can essentially base her by basing the Plant objects and lock her in place. Yeah, okay - sounds fair enough to me.

And then she attacks, Poisons, Incaps, whatever that character. I fail to see how this is really a problem.

She has a 16 defense, her trait triggers when she moves. She REALLY needs to be able to move to be effective and stay safe. You want to spread the plants out so that you can funnel the enemy into areas, force them to go other places. If a Plant is based? Well, hey, guess you're getting charged by the entire enemy team since they've based you from like 7-8 squares away and forced you to be locked into place.

If that's the way you feel, fine. To me, worst case scenario, your opponent is going to an awful lot of trouble over a character that isn't even 100 points.
Much more likely, your opponent is going to each a bunch of Poison damage as he's trying to tie up less than 1/3 a standard build and the rest of your team is doing whatever it is that they do.

Me as well. If the enemy wants to try to immobilize her by basing a plant, then fine by me. They can't attack her through the plant, but I can attack them. Zero risk of me getting hit, but I have a chance to deal damage? Awesome. The only thing I don't like is that its easier to stop her from using support. Also, it will be nice to place a plant token in my starting area and then always be able to move back into it at will.
And she is going to be crazy with the Batarangs on the belt. With 6 plant tokens, she can literally incap a 24x36 map. But 4 should probably be fine most of the time.
And she can make her own hindering terrain when she takes a move action.

Wait a second, can you essentially teleport through your plants as you walk? For instance, you move two squares.
