The subject of today’s DC HeroClix: Teen Titans preview is part of a group of meta-humans who are on the run from the organization known as N.O.W.H.E.R.E. We are pleased to bring you the smart-alecky terraformer, Terra!
Or if her Defend was modify adjacent friendlies defence by +1 instead.
I grew up reading about the Teen Titans one.
I wish that one was the Common and had TK and Barrier for 50 points,
and the Prime was her attacking all the Teen Titans with Deathstroke -
full of rage and powers at her peak and working hard to kill them.
100 points of crazy chick.
I would love free Barrier every turn on that one.
Barrier that could be placed under an enemy
and pushes them away for 1 damage.
I find it a little funny that wizkids is making all the ravagers considering the book has been canceled recently.
Granted they probably had the idea for this figure a year ago (when the book was announced/still fresh) so I'll cut them a little slack.
Going on that same note, I think the FF version of this character will be a little more distinct as either a straight attack or support piece. This one is dancing on both sides of the line so that's why I think it's drawing some negative attention. I'm excited to see what the other version has to offer.
My first impression is just "wow she's expensive" but then looking at her again, defend, enhancement, flighty, and telekinesis would cost about 85 points on separate figures anyway. Throw in the free barrier power and she's actually pretty darn versatile and capable of decent damage as well.
She is however very frail. Even with the toughness granted by her trait, her defense is average and she has a mere 5 clicks. I do wish her range was at least a 6 as 4 is very limiting not so much for her barrier but for her offensive abilities.
Wow this is a super cool dial. I'm a little bummed because I have no idea who the character is and would never wanna play here, but I'm crazy about that fun looking dial.
Favorite Comics:
Simonson's Thor, Robinson's Starman, Mignola's Hellboy, Lemire's Animal Man
Brubaker's Captain America, Gillen's Thor/Journey into Mystery, Remender's Venom Check Out My Custom Heroclix Mods
She would be a perfect prime character. She worked with the Titans for a while, then turned on them all crazy. Spy could also have been a cool keyword, which would help the other spies, who lack a lot in cool powers.
I feel disappointed. I see where the points went but nothing about this makes me get excited. Sad considering I loved her in the animated series.
I hated her in the cartoon. I mean, I didn't really like the cartoon to begin with, but they completely changed who she was when they brought her into the cartoon. She came off as a real wimp instead of the mean-spirited borderline psychopath she turned out to be in the old days. God, those were fun comics.
On topic, I wish this was a Terra that actually worked with the Titans. I really hope we get a version that has the Teen Titans keyword, or I will be very upset that the only Titans version of the character is the crappy Unique from Icons.
I'm always disappointed when I see a decent dial (like this Terra), and the dials like Legion of Super-Heroes characters look like this:

(Attack) Illusionary Wall: Princess Projectra can use Barrier as if she possessed a range value of 4.
(Damage) Full Illusions: Give Princess Projectra a free action and choose an adjacent character with the Legion of Super Heroes keyword. That character can use Super Senses until your next turn as long as it is adjacent to Princess Projectra.
aa037 R Element Lad
Team: Legion of Superheroes

(Damage) Transmute: At the beginning of your turn as a free action, Element Lad can choose one of the following options: (1) Destroy up to two adjacent objects or squares of blocking terrain; or (2) one at a time remove up to 6 hindering terrain markers, blocking terrain markers, and debris markers (in any combination) 4 or fewer squares from Element Lad to which he has a clear line of fire at the time they are removed; if a debris marker is removed that indicates a wall or area of terrain that was destroyed, it is no longer destroyed.
My gripe is that even though Terra is more points, she has the ability to damage Invulnerable figures on all clicks except 1, she can unconditionally damage all figures with no better than Toughness on every click, and even if she is not attacking, she can contribute to her teammates. All I ask for future LSH dials is that they be able to do the same.
Wow, what a disapointment. Outside of providing terrax with bonus damage, i dont find her worth diverting any more of my attention too. What a shame i was hoping for a more offensive, earthquake making, boulder flinging, smashing terra.
