REALMS OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP "Where the best players play"
HCRealms.com is pleased to announce the launch of a series of regional tournament qualifiers sponsored by none other but HCRealms.com itself! These Regional Qualifiers culminate with a championship at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA (US). Clix players can win Cash, convention exclusives, travel vouchers, convention badges, t-shirts, dice and much more.
Our purpose is to provide a community event for HeroClix players to compete. This year we have six scheduled events. Future plans include smaller venue qualifiers, more regional qualifiers, International qualifiers, and online qualifiers. We are also entertaining a player ranking system and much more!

Columbus already has Origins. Why would you create a Midwest regional event there??
(Also OH is as far east in the "Midwest" as you can get. Not very "regional").
Yes, but we're the only civilized part of the Midwest.
I agree though, this should have been part of Origins. Heroes and Games is in the convention center, it would have been a good after-hours event.
“And that's when I first learned about evil. It is built in to the very nature of the universe. Every world spins in pain. If there is any kind of supreme being, I told myself, it is up to all of us to become his moral superior.”
― Sir Terry, via Lord Vetinari
This is new for this year; we totally plan on adding more events for next year. We just need to start slow and make sure that it makes sense. I would love to see next year's championship event have a $10,000 prize pool, but we gotta start somewhere.
