Hi this is FrostWolf, yes that FrostWolf the one who set up a thread called COSMIC JUSTICE and argued with everyone who replied. Check it out... cool thread. Any way after my battle fury wore off I listened to their advice and decided to ask for people's help and advice, so here I am.

Hello Frost. You actually have a good mix of figures and can make a pretty decent team. It really depends on what your favorite characters are, because I know that was important to you. But anyway, here's some tips.

Batman experienced is a really great figure. He makes a good centerpiece to build a team around. So you might want to start with him.

Bane is another excellent piece in the close combat department. But if you are planning on using him, make sure you have somebody like Man Bat, Booster Gold, or Hawkman to carry him up to whoever you would like to lay the beat down on.

Grodd is an underrated piece. You may want to give him a try, his mind control can be fun and Super Strength can let you use objects.

You also have Aquaman who is another great close combat piece but he is really cheap and can easily fit on a team. Plus his attack is pretty decent to deal with the high defenses of the Marvel figures.

Robin squeezes into any team and is actually a darn annoying pest.

Harley Quinn is another cheap figure who has Perplex. This ability would help you raise your attacks or lower an opponent's defense so you can hit them easier.

That's all I can think of for now, but if you have any specific questions or anything just let me know and I'd be glad to try and help.

Gulyadkin Victims List: Spider-Man (ASM 001b), Green Goblin (M10A 004).

First off it's not super important that I use my favorite characters. In the post I was complaining that they were not represented as good as they could have been.

Secondly I don't think that having Batman in is really a good Idea cause where I play they always kill him first. Should I make him bait?

Third: Addding Bane is another threat where I play. so Another Bait?

Fourth: Grodd onlt has one click of Mind control

Fifth: I noticed no medic. Is that okay?

and Lastly: WoW you were like one of the first members right? COOL

From what I gather on your advice....

Heavy hitters and Bait
BATMAN
BANE

Trick photograpy
GROD
AQUAMAN

Pests
HARLEY
ROBIN

THANKS

P.S.
That teams not 300 points its 397 points.
Might be good for a 400 point team but I'm trying to get a 300 point team.

While I don't normally play w/o a Medic (and normally use V Nightwing instead of E Batman) here is a pretty good team.

E Batman (outwit and natural stealth is nice)
E Bane (5 damage is too nice not to use...use...)
R Harely Quinn (...her to Perplex Bane's target's defense down)
R Aquaman (nice A/V for DC and cheap leadership)
E Booster (free move taxi for Bane or Aquaman or Batman)
R Hawkman (see above)
R Lackey (Meat shield)

You could drop Bane to a rookie to add a medic (loose the Lackey too) but R Bane doesn't have the same punch that the E version does.

Good luck!

Frost, I wasn't actually putting a 300 point team together for you. I was just trying to help you so you can make solid teams yourself.

Batman is good bait, but if he is KO'd really fast there is something wrong. Keep him in hindering AT ALL TIMES. Make sure you can anticipate your opponents moves. If your opponent looks like they might fly in Bane via Man-Bat up to your Batman, then move him into a better position so that can't happen. His Willpower and Leap/Climb combo means that you could always move him freely without worrying about pushing him.

Ok Ghost Rider. Thanks for the tip.
Right now I'm thinking of using:

E-Batman.................92
V-Blue Beetle............43
E-Bane.....................76
E-Hawkman..............43
R-Aquaman..............27
Checkmate Medic.......19

TOTAL ========== 300

My plan is to confuss them with two heavy hitters: Bane and Batman
Then Bats will be Bait so when they go and attempt to kill him Blue Beetle attacks from 8 squares awaythen Hawkman charges and drops off Bane. Then Bane cracks the Guys skull open. And hopfully if the roll permits Awuaman gets me leadership to use an action Batman, Either attack or run to heal.

In total doing 11-15 damage in one turn. Hopfully this kills their big gun. Theres only on counter I noticed, Mind control Batman to attack Bane. Also Energy explosion would be pretty bad.

What are the most common Marvel figures you run into? Knowing this can help in makeing a team that can counter it.

Very nice. Although, dont worry about Batman being mind controlled... that should never happen. Worry about Bane getting controlled.

Here are some of my thoughts.
1. If you plan to beat Marvel with DC you have to outplay your opponet. Experienced Batman is as close as DC gets to having a Firelord.
2. You will have to build on DCs strengths when compared to Marvel. Like outwit at the front of the dial for a lot of figures. Batman team ability, permanent stealth and can not be outwitted. Force Blast (often underestimated and overlooked by Marvel players).
3. You may want to use perplexers and cops to boost your attack numbers. Let's face it marvel can hit DC easier and avoid being hit just as easily.

With that said here's my 300 point DC team wich is by no means is the best but since I call myself a comic fan first and a HCer second I don't mix heros and villains.

Exp. Batman
Rk. Blue Beetle
Exp. Booster Gold
Exp. Hawkman
Vet. Aquaman
Exp. Plastic Man
Exp. Checkmate Medic

Batman always stays in hindering terrain and outwits from safety. I used to use Veteran Nightwing but realized he's only useful on the first two clicks and since he doesn't have Batman's willpower he's very push unfriendly.
Blue and Gold I use these guys as a team Gold taxis Blue and Blue force blasts figs off roofs and into walls. No dice roll needed and often unexpected. 2 clicks for the roof one for the wall you can even use this to de-stealth figs in hindering terrain. And as a bonus Booster gets JLA free move.
Hawkman and Aquaman, Fowl carries Fish to make attacks. Granted Hawkman's attack value means he misses a lot but Aquaman can hit most any body on the board (11 AV). And if you get lucky you can hit someone with hawkman's CCE for rour clicks.
Exp. Plasticman, I let him make his own way across the board since he doesn't use one of my actions (JLA). And I use him to tie up figures and usually push him to make an attack so I can get to my perplex clicks. This helps a lot with Bats who only has an AV of 9.

Good Luck

I would say maybe one of my fasvorite DC characters to use is Darkseid. He has a varity of abilities, my two favorits being outwit and PB of course. Plus he has impervious and mind control. I cannot strees how important it is to use characters with impervious when playing against Marvel. Sure it looks like invulnaerability but you through in the chance for it to miss and your guys can stay around longer. Sure darkseid's range of 8 and attack og 10 aren't as god as you can get in MArvel, but through in a R Harley Quinn or 2 and perlplex his stats up. Plus, with PB you don't need to woory about only doing 3 clicks to the Hulk and it only doing 1, you go right through all damage reducing abilities. Darkseid can cause Marvel some problems, but he is kinda expensive for a 300 point game and doesn't leave you much more to work with since he will comprise 1/2 of your team. But I was just saying he could be used, especially if you ever play any bigger games.

Allright, I think this will crush any of the other mentioned teams.

V-Checkmate medic
E-Batman
E-Bane
E-Steel
(You can use either E-Booster Gold or E-Hawkman to round out the team).

You only have 3 actions, both booster gold & Steel are free movers. You can just wait until an opponent comes close enough and then fly in batman to outwit, than fly in bane to hit for 5 clix and bats can fire off a shot for another 3. In a 300point game, your opponent only will have so many figures, this team allows you to wait until the right second and take out (or really wreck) one of the pieces that is most important to their team. Both Steel (10AV, 8range,3damage) & Booster (8range, 2damage) have range + toughness. You can hold characters up w/Bane & use hawkmans charge if you use him instead of booster.

Make sure to have the Marvel team come to you, don't extend yourself too much. Even a few hits will make it tough for you to reach the (generally) higher Marvel defense values.
