i made it for the girlfriend mostly. but noobs in general. quick reference to see what can and cant be used to combo with other powers.
So how does one learn the game?
NVM, I misunderstood the chart. Its actually a good idea. Its not a compatibility chart, its just categorizing powers based on how they are activated. Its still got some mistakes, but its not teaching shortcuts. People still need to understand how the powers work.
super senses triggers only off attacks and you say before damage dealt (true but I see an argument)
What argument? You are either doing it right or wrong
If an attack misses, damage is not dealt by the attack. Certain game effects allow characters to evade a hit – evading a hit turns it into a miss.
Also page 10
When an attack hits, the damage dealt to the target is equal to the attacker’s damage value, modified by any game effects.
Divide the attacker’s damage value any way you choose among the successfully hit targets.
Super Senses allows you to turn a hit into a miss. If you missed a target you cannot allocate damage to it. Pure and simple
For your free actions, I would drop the once per turn part - it is unnecessary. No free action can be done more than once per turn unless it says it may. So Perplex is ALWAYS once per turn unless an SP specifically allows it (i.e. Doctor Octopus)
what he wrote is true but wasn't the whole story. the number of arguments i've seen from partial truths is immense.
note: your ragging on me assumes there was an attack. super senses triggers on an attack so that's fine for your example, but not everything is an attack. which is only the whole reason I pointed it out in the first place...
At least I'm not alone in needing to review my posts before I submit them more often.
Invincible does not reduce damage, it ignores it (reduction can be prevented with penetrating, ignoring not so much)
Maybe change it to Damage Dealt Effects to avoid confusion?
Blades/Claws/Fangs and Energy Explosion trigger on a combat action of the appropriate type, not just any close or ranged attack. For example, Hypersonic Speed only grants a ranged or close combat attack so it will not trigger either effect, as appropriate
Steal Energy only triggers when the target takes damage, not just that it was dealt (i.e. the dial must have been turned at least one click)
Also, small typo under When Adjacent to Friendly Character, character is misspelled
Under empower and enhancement, why repeat "when adjacent to friendly" in the power block when it is the category
Lastly, Mastermind triggers when damage is dealt, not taken. If I MM a 3 damage attack onto a character with Invulnerable, he will take only 1 (but, by the same token, if it was a penetrating attack, it retains that characteristic)
