I can only hope with the team base being 250 points top cost that a 50 point Mastermind features in the next set. Otherwise this ain't no Brotherhood. On the flip side it gives us an interesting variant scarlet witch and quicksilver, along with a remake of toad... even if he is as turd as he should be
I guess the impetus is to play M&M Mastermind alongside this team base in Golden Age?
Also, I don't care for the the wording on the card reflects the familial tie between the twins and Magneto- they didn't know he was their daddy when they were all on the team together.
Maybe this was supposed to reflect a one-off time when it was JUST the four of them? Can't think of when that would've been, but I get frustrated trying to excuse/explain/justify blatantly bad planning and design for what should've been a slam-dunk simple roll-call for a five-person grouping...
Since it looks like this will be packaged with Hellfire Club as most have thought... I personally would be pretty psyched if this is the booster I was getting. I understand the lack of mastermind is a let down for some, but the low point cost means you can build around them, and nothing about this seems cheesy to field. Good mix of powers, though a 17 defense isn't what it used to be...though you have Energy Shields for most of the dial and cycle through combat reflexes, invun, and super senses. But for 230 pts I wouldn't mind tossing it on the table from time to time and still have room for other members of the Brotherhood of Mutants.
