Well, I wasnt really talking about power-wise, for each characters limitation, as I was specific incarnations of them. Silver Surfer has always been Silver Surfer, but Cosmic Spidey and Warrior Madness Thor and so on are variations of these classic characters, so Id really just prefer regular Thor or regular Superman for these battles.

You people? What does that mean? I am never talking about DC or Marvel in that sence.

If you don't think Mar-Vell should be in this then Genis definatly shouldn't. Genis has the Nega Bands and is twice what his father was.(you don't read the book do you?)

Oh well if power Cosmic is too much for the Red Cheese to handle I guess Genis will just have to be left out. hehe

BTW Genis is Mar-Vell's Son. He's not just another form of Mar-Vell. DTM will have to make the call.

Not to start a flame war (especially with Cap. Marvel, you know I respect your opinion) but for all the talk about how powerful Superman, Captain Marvel, and DC in general are, none of the Marvel fans ever seem to give Supes or SHAZAM! the respect they deserve!

Im sure well all do the best we can to vote intelligently and with a real objective look at both characters. Remember, this isnt strictly a Marvel VS DC series, it could easily be a series of DC vs DC and so on. Lets wait and see what happens before we decide Marvel isnt voting for DC and so on. Personally, I love comics in general, and have no favorites, which even if I did, I wouldnt let it cloud my objective and thought out opinions about these battles. Im sure everyone here can easily do the same.

Oh I give them respect. I like Supes and he can pound with the best of them also I like Shazam I really like his Character. To be honest in his Current state I should not have used Genis. He is Power Cosmic but I wasn't sure what the power scale was. Genis would be a great battle with Supes. It would be close.

And that, CM, is for the public to decide.

I happen to think that Superman is physically as powerful as any of the "cosmic power" characters from Marvel, but most Marvelites I see on here dismiss that out of hand.

No flame here I don't take offence to these arguments I like them. I'm not a Marvel or a DC I like both. They both have a great assortment of characters. It's a blast having these discussions.

I have no problem with Mar-Vel OR Surfer. DTM explained it well enough - Characters that are at their conceptual power levels should be admitted. Modified characters are to be viewed at their regular power levels. This works GREAT!

However, I feel for the rest of us if someone nominates The Spectre

Well, thats what I asked, has he gotten some kind of power up recently that would put him in league with these others? I dont want to restrict anyones choice, but like Dark Phoenx being too powerful, Machine Man might be too weak. Any thoughts?

Well I don't dismiss much I try to keep an open mind to all match ups.

It's hard to compair power levels because of the two differant universes.

Plus no matter who you are you always have your favorites.
