You can either be a GL or phase a single passenger, correct? You can no longer phase AND be a GL, phasing your entire force through walls?

This came up during a game last night and I said no, it was akin to JLA/Avengers not being combined with phasing.

you can, but if you use phasing you can't use your "free action team ability" WITHOUT use a tolken.

Can someone give me a definative answer as to why GL even has Phasing? Or have I missed something in the comics?

Stewar use in the comics phsing, Hal Jordan too I see a few times and Allan Scott in the early ap do that a lot.

There is no "free action team ability". If you are referring to the JLA/Avengers ability then it has nothing to do with Free Actions and should not be referred to as a "free move" or anything else "free". It's a Move Action which does not count towards your teams allotted actions for the turn.

which is why it isn't "combined" because taking a power action with Phasing cancels out the move that doesnt cost an action TA (like CM said, there s no such thing as a "free" move). nitpicky i know but that's pretty much the bottom line.

But, that doesn't really answer my question.

You CANNOT Phase and use the GL team ability, correct?

never mind, I thinking on Vision, ok for me you can use the GL Team ab AND phasing why not?

because phasing is a power action and GL team ability is. CM, can you chime in here and settle this for once and all? thanks!

Oops, I thought I answered this in this thread but it was another. Yes, you can still phase while using the GL team ability. The GL team ability can be used whenever you want to carry someone regardless of what type of action is being given to move them.

The confusion is probably from the JLA/Avengers ability which does not work with phasing as it allows for giving the character a move action but phasing requires a power action.

The GLC TA allows you to carry up to 8 people. That is the ONLY difference between the GLC TA and a normal carry action. As such, it can be used anytime you can carry a fig normally, such as Phasing.....


And the E GL has the very Avengers-like JLA TA.....
