Karnak. If only Slade had pulled the desert or park....... it would still be Karnak.

Urban sounds like Slade's kinda place though Jack. I'll say Slade wins this one.

KARNAK!

And now for the why:

1. He is faster than Captain America - he is perfectly capable of dodging/avoiding gunfire. Range combat negated.

2. He is one of the top 5 martial artists in Marvel comics. When the fight gets to hand to hand, and per point one it will get to hand to hand, he is perfectly capable of knocking Deathstroke out.

3. They don't call him the Shatterer for nothing. Any hand to hand weapons used by Deathstroke is going away. Fast.

4. He is physically better in every way than Deathstroke. It happens.

5. The whole "see weakness" thing is ridiculously powerful in this environment. With a single punch he can drop a building on Deathstroke. Fight over.

Deathstroke, purely because of the environment.

karnak

Karnak, because I think he's so much grotesquely stronger than anyone else here, faster, more resistant to damage than anyone who's left, can contort his body in weird ways to avoid attacks, can control his blood flow to control damage, and one of the best martial artists. Oh, and his ability to see weaknesses thing would be a minor factor too *sarcasm*. Karnak for a big win.

Actually, the urban enviroment gives Karnak more cover to avoid Slade's weapons. That way he could move into hth quicker, and I give Karnak the advanage there (I feel Karnak IS the best martial artist in the marvel universe, followed Taskmaster, Captain America, and Iron Fist). And Rubix 1 has a point, Karnak could knock a building on Slade.

thugit - since you swayed me on the W/B fight please answer me this...

How does this environment favor Deathstroke?
If he hides in a building and tries to be stealthy Karnak can bring the entire structure down around him. The extra cover negates the fact that Karnak lacks any real range attack - seems to be a bonus for Karnak alot more than Slade. Maybe I am missing something - how is this not an easy win for Karnak?

Deathstroke, purely because of the environment.

Deathstroke. As I have said, one of my favorites to win the tournament. He's way too fast for Karnak, and while I think the gun is going to be useless, the grenades are not.

Deathstroke has enough physical power to hang with Karnak. Karnak does not have good defense versus modern ranged weaponry.

I'll take Deathstroke.

Too bad Wolvie isn't on course to make it to the next round... we could spend days analyzing the 4 panels of Deathstroke fighting Wolverine in X-Men vs. Teen Titans.

Huh? Karnak is faster than Captain America. Exactly how fast is Slade, anyway? Because I am not seeing him flat-footing Cap - which means Karnak takes him on speed. And everything else.

This is a tough call for me but I'm going to say Deathstroke wins. He's very smart. He's sneaky. He's cunning.

Here's how I see it: As soon as the battle begins Deathstroke fires off a round or two at Karnak and breaks for the Urban jungle. This becomes a game of cat and mouse. Karnak chases after DS but loses sight of him. Now he must stalk the alleyways, looking for his opponent. This is DS's arena. DS sets up trap after trap and lures Karnak into them. Even Karnak can't survive a surprise plastic explosives exlosion.
