Another team...
Mark VIIs are some scary mofos, lemme tell ya. Here's some options, and why they're good...

Shadowcat -- high defense, super senses, and phasing taxi lets her pull people outta the fire quickly and avoid getting squished herself. If one of the buggers gets in melee, her phasing gives her a bonus to escaping capture.

Cyclops -- high range and high damage can help him take down the Sentinels w/o pesky melee. Storm is also a good option, but she becomes less useful more quickly.

Wolverine -- with the aid of a TKer, he can be your most valuable asset. Have him run in and tear the giant apart, then pull him away quickly and take cover.

Jean Grey -- TK will be great for a forward assault (see Wolvie). Phoenix is also a good option, with her exceptional range. However, healing can be helpful, so sticking with Vet Jean is probably the most prudent (or be crazy and have both. Argue it's the Excalibur version).

Gambit -- Stealth is your best friend against Sentinels, as it's the only way to remain unseen within their range. Perplex is of course very useful, and highly recommended. Veteran is probably the best choice, with his higher range.

Psylocke -- you'd think she was Gambit's girlfriend with how well they work together. Hiding next to the cajun, she offers a handy enhancement. If a Sentinel gets frisky, knife him.

Nightcrawler -- rare, but could be very useful. His HSS lets him keep outta melee and still bring the pain. With Gambit backing him w/ Perplex, he can be even more useful. If you find yourself the victim of the piercing Sentinel's gaze, his SS and high DV should help you avoid peril.

Magick -- quick, phasing, and devastating from range and up close in her veteran. It's like she was built to tear Sentinels apart.

Marrow -- less mobile than Magick, but just as affective, and her Regen lets you use X-Men TA as a healing option.

Out of these figures, I was able to build the following team (a few of the figs are hard to get, but even w/o them it should be solid):

U Phoenix - 85 Pts.
U Nightcrawler - 83 Pts.
V Cyclops - 78 Pts.
V Wolverine - 75 Pts.
V Gambit - 51 Pts.
V Jean Grey - 50 Pts.
V Magick - 47 Pts.
V Psylocke - 45 Pts.
LE Sarah - 44 Pts.
V Shadowcat - 40 Pts.

Total: 598 Pts.

Hopefully this is helpful. Down with giant evil robots!

bleh...
I should learn to read posts thoroughly, otherwise I might have noticed that my own post came about 14 hours too late. Oh well. How did the battle go?
