FREEZER BURN: When Mr. Freeze makes a ranged combat attack, modify his attack value by +1 for each target character.
A COLD THAT WILL FREEZE YOUR HEART: Mr. Freeze can use Barrier and Incapacitate. When he uses Barrier, modify his range by +3 and after actions resolve, he may use Incapacitate as a free action targeting all opposing characters adjacent to the blocking terrain markers with a close combat attack.
STRATEGIC TARGETING: Mr. Freeze can use Ranged Combat Expert. When he does, he may target multiple characters.
This piece and DC 10th Green Lantern....winn with that construct traits wording.
Unfortunately, an errata exists now for that Green Lantern's wording, as he can only attack someone adjacent to barriers that HE has put out, not other characters. Probably the saddest errata I've ever seen, as that piece was a lot of fun to do dumb things with.
In reference to the possible 13 Attack of Mr. Freeze. Would this mean that Mr. Freeze can bump his Attack up to 15 with CW Hawkeye by his side?
Maybe yes, since replace his attack value with hawkeye would be like, as if he had a 12 attack on his dial, so you can make it to a 15 AV, I would guess.
How about Mr. Freeze, Hawkeye, and the new Scarecrow from SOG?
Why not? And have Hawkeye take the Batman TA when its not you turn. EDIT: Nevermind, I thought Scarecrow was Hugo Strange. But Hawkeye is a good option for share high attack values with Batman Enemy TA for Mr. Freeze, and so on.

@Yondu77, He could not preform incap twice, you can only preform a specific action as a free action once per turn per character. So even though it says he can use it as a free action both from his sp and from the gun, he would only get to use incap as a free action once during the turn.
December 9, 2012

If Mr. Freeze uses barrier and Mr. Freeze has the freeze gun relic can he use incapacitate 2xs? Both his SP and the freeze gun grant a free action to use incapacitate if he uses barrier.
Are you forgetting to count characters with the Batman Ally team ability, which grants Stealth? Almost half the entire set has stealth in one way or another.
Actually, I did forget to count them. That's 10 other characters. Hardly almost "half" the set. However, after having played NML month 1, I can see where this guy now has a lot of weakness, and that's due to the wording of Stealth now and the fact that the first slot item for the Belt gives you the ability to use Smoke Cloud. Since the Stealth character doesn't have to be directly IN the hindering terrain and can just be on the other SIDE of it, it means that Smoke Cloud plays a MASSIVE role in keeping Mr. Freeze and other ranged characters at bay in these sealed events. Nonetheless, I've still seen Mr. Freeze ripping people apart in matches, even with Stealth involved.
Have u seen the first months map for NML? Majority of the hindering in inside the cells and what objects are used in a persons build which isn't much when you destroy them. Yeah map choice will affect him, but as for this first month, he is a great choice. I used him and took second at our tourney.
This is also a very true fact. That Blackgate Prison map was not exactly the most Stealth friendly, but as I pointed out above, Smoke Cloud plays a big part in making up for that lack of hindering terrain on the overall map. However, Mr. Freeze and Blackgate Prison are pretty cool with each other overall. = D

That Ranged Combat Expert power with at least a +1 attack, good stuff! I wish I could play a whole team of him! Not necessarily a power house, but definitely a force to be reckoned with. Don't let this guy out of your sights!

One of, if not THE best ranged combat pieces in the game, especially in in current modern format. He is a scientist to boot. His synergy alone is potentially devastating. I can think of one theme team that is particularly nasty. I has figures that rhyme with ride ya, maim, and schlitz.

@Rodimus I didn't ask how. I asked why. By all accounts, this is a man who often gets his tail handed to him by Batman and has lost one on one to Robin as well. He's got better numbers at range than your average Superman dial, for some reason.
Why exactly does Mr. Freeze merit a 13 attack and 5 damage?
Trait gives +1 Av when making ranged attacks, damage sp gives RCE. People should realize that just cause you target three, you can always still dish all the damage to one. High DV opponent w/ other opponents around? Target 3 to get the+3 then dish to the high DV guy. I used him today in a NML event and he pulled through tremendously. Love this guy. So stoked I pulled him!

i dont think freeze can RC each of 3 targets i think he can RC then target 3 spliting the total among three targets so for instance he can rc first click and divide 5 damage total
November 15, 2012
Hoopaclox
Except his damage power says that yes he can target multiple characters when using RCE.
Exactly. Since his SP states that he can use RCE in a different manner than how RCE is labeled, it means he can. However, it doesn't mean that you add 2 damage to each character hit. It means you add 2 to your overall damage, then split the damage however you wish amongst the hit characters. Also, someone pointed out the "Replace then Modify" thing. I hadn't even thought about that. Nice catch. This character gets more and more deadly as the days go by. Someone also mentioned Stealth being a problem. This is true. However, I have counted seven characters in the Batman set that use Stealth (might be off by 1 or 2, only did a quick glance). In sealed, I can see where Stealth can be a problem because of how the boosters might be set up. However, I think a strong Charge/primary melee guy can make that Stealther's life a living hell, leaving Mr. Freeze to blast away at anyone else on the map. I'll be finding out soon enough on Saturday when we do our NML event. = D

So I went to a 300 point sealed and was thrilled to pull this. However, there is one major flaw with this guy. The set. It seems that everybody and their grand mother has stealth in a 300 point sealed, which crippled him. Sure 3 target incap is great, except when going against Batman Family, who all have stealth and all seem to ignore hindering so it doesn't even slow them down. The Barrier Power is nice, but only got to use it once.
November 15, 2012

I certainly never expected to say the words "My top wants from this set are mr freeze< geo-force and poison ivy, plus calendar man is pretty awesome". This guy is great on every level bringing multiple things to the table in the way of offense and defense. His specials are great, his attack is great, multi target RCE is amazing...just awesome.

With the right team built around him (including Saint Walker and/or some cheap SHIELD TA pieces with Holiday Killer), this is one of the most fearsome pieces in the set. Add a Gauntlet or Belt on him and he could obliterate an opponents team. Just watch out for Outsider TA pieces and they can shut him down faster than Schwarzenaeger could make an "ICE" quip in B&R.

I agree that Freeze is absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to put him on my Arkham teams. But he's not "THE figure to have to bust stealth in this set." Why? Because he doesn't open with his amazing Barrier power; you have to hope that he is attacked, but not KO'ed. The real figure to have to bust stealth in this set is probably Black Queen. That said, this is the best Freeze ever, and he is 100% in my top-ten want list.

And note that his Barrier/Incapacitate power only lets him use Incapacitate as a close combat attack, so no actual damage being dealt other than pushing if applicable.

Long awaited, and worth it! This is pretty much what Mr. Freeze should be, with the exception that he ought to have some kind of "brainy" power somewhere. Still, I'm going to get one.

13 attack IF you can target three enemies. FF Saintwalker can provide Sharp Shooter to help. Still. Im afraid Freeze here has too short a dial for the over 100 cost. I would have given up the RCE for a 80-90 cost.

I agree, he should have 7 or 8 clicks. But he is still good, finally Mr. Freeze has been made well, he has never has been well before in heroclix, in my humble opinion. I know his overall dial is strong, but with that, at only six clicks, he should be 93-100 points.
